-Using ingredients that are low in fats
-The ingredients must have vitamins
-While cooking, add less sugar and salt
-Switch some ingredients to vegetables or fruits
-Use healthier oil(Pure olive oil)
Eg:-Shepherd’s pie with healthier mashed potatoes
-A burger with wholemeal burger buns,switching the cheese and bacon
with avocado,sweet onion and arugula(an edible annual plant)
Why is this useful?
This information could give me an idea of what to do to change a recipe to
make it healthier.

-Banana fritters are a very common snack that you can get from stalls for a
cheap price.It is crisp and grease-drenched on the outside and soft with a
bursting with sweetness on the inside.It is best to eat while hot.
-Cendol is super popular around Southeast Asia.It may look like little green
worms but it typically made out of rice and sago flour,soft strips are mixed
with coconut milk and sugar syrup.Ingredients such as red beans,grass
jelly and sweet corn are often added to provide more flavour.
-Butter Chicken is a dish originated from India and consists of chicken in a
mildly spicy tomato sauce.

which will help give me a wider variety of food choices to choose from.

etc.
Why is this useful?
It gives me a summary of the different types of celebrations and what types
of food are served during those celebrations so that I can have a thorough
idea of what to cook.

-Baking is a method of cooking using dry heat and can also be done on hot
stones/ashes but normally in an oven.During the process,the heat goes
from the bread’s,the most common item baked,surface to its center.
-Boiling is a method of cooking food in boiling water.Simmering is gentle
boiling while poaching cooking liquid moves but scarcely bubbles.
-Frying is the cooking of food in hot fats or oils usually done with a shallow
oil bath over a fire.There can be shallow frying or deep frying or pan frying.
-Grilling involves dry heat applied to the surface of the food, commonly
from above or below.Grilling tends to be used for cooking meat and
vegetables quickly and it involves a significant amount of direct,radiant
heat.
-Steaming is when water is boiled continuously,causing it to vaporise into
steam,the steam carries heat to the nearby food thus cooking the food.
-Poaching involves submerging food into a liquid such as water,milk,stock
or wine at a relatively low temperature(160-180 F)and is a type of moist-
heat cooking.

that I can have a better understanding of each one.
