What makes Peruvians happy?

Reach the happiness it is very subjective and personal. We all have a very different view of
life and, therefore, not all of us are happy for the same reasons.
However, our idiosyncrasies as Peruvians make aspects such as family unity and the taste
for good food stand out among the things that give us more happiness.

The vast majority of people said that spending time with the family it is the activity that
produces the most satisfaction. Wendorff, a social psychologist explains why:
"Spending time with the family and forming one's own are important factors of happiness. Part
of our mission as a species is to survive, reproduce and ensure the survival of those who
share our genes, the family helps us to fulfill that mission.

But this preference of Peruvians for the family is repeated also in other societies, such as,
the American one? According to the expert, this is not the case, since it is a more
"individualistic" society Wendorff points out.

Food is another factor that produces happiness, something that is strange taking into
account that the gastronomy it is one of the greatest pride of Peruvians. It has a social
component that makes us feel good because that is how we belong to a group.

Something curious is that few people said that money could make them happy. "Studies show
that money helps prevent 'unhappiness', but it doesn’t guarantee happiness. This is more in
the personal realization, family, friends, couple and children".
