Sunlight has holes in it, meaning that there are some places in which light is not reflected at certain
wavelengths. Because elements in the atmosphere are absorbing these frequencies.

Emission spectrum, certain things can only produce a certain wavelength.

How much there is of a certain substance (concentration) and the type of substance (wat it is homey)
can be determined by the wavelength being shot at it and the amount of light being absorbed.

Photoelectric effect- light shining on a metal and then giving off electrons.

Light is made up of discrete packets of energy, or photons.

Work function is the amount of energy required to remove an electron from a piece of metal.
