359 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. “I
fall in adoration at your feet, Lord! I thank you, God of goodness; God of
holiness, I invoke You, on my knees in Your sight…For me, an unworthy
sinner, You have willed to undergo the death of the cross, setting me free
from the bonds of evil. What shall I offer You in return for Your
generosity?” WOW! (St. Ephrem of Syria). We have a new adorer: Gregory
Fillingham, may God bless you. Thank you for your commitment. Should you have
any questions, please contact Gene at 330-690-9661. We are in the 57th year….by the
grace of God and all adorers who are there, week after week! What a wonderful
showing throughout a huge snow storm. May God always bless you! Much gratitude
to you from the captains, priests, and director.

Join us for a Holy Hour in honor of Our Lady of Fatima, First Saturday
Devotion, February 2 following the 4:00pm Mass. Don’t miss the graces from
being there.

Saturday, February 2 we celebrate The Presentation of the Lord, also known as

Candlemas Day. According to St. Luke’s account of the Gospel, Simeon recognized
Jesus as the Messiah in the temple and declared him “a light for revelation to the
Gentiles and glory for your people Israel. (Luke 2:32). This sparked the tradition of
blessing enough candles to last an entire year, which led to candle processions in
churches and in the streets which became known as Candlemas. Candles will be
blessed and each parishioner can take a candle home with them.

Deacon Adair will continue through the Wednesday’s of January at 7:00 in the Rectory
Meeting Room to present further topics on Benedictine spirituality. We’ll preview and
discuss DVDs on Monastery life at Gethsemani, Silence, and the life of Thomas
Merton. All are invited! No reservation necessary. The next session will be January 30.

For the past forty-six years, the news media has IGNORED the hundreds of thousands of PEACEFUL
marchers who have been witnesses on behalf of the millions of innocent babies, who have lost their
lives before they began. They have drowned out the voices of post abortive WOMEN, who are SILENT
NO MORE! They will not even discuss the ravage it has visited on our country! Not only in the lost lives
of those precious little ones, but in the lives of their mothers who have been deceived into believing
abortion was an "EASY" solution to a much more complex problem. Those who promote this barbaric
practice are depicted as "COMPASSIONATE". Angry fist clinched women wearing vulgar hats; we are
told are empowered and courageous. Young Catholic students who brave the elements on behalf of the
unborn, who rightly recognize that America cannot be great on the blood of its innocent children,
donning their MAGA hats are targeted as "racist, haters"! ....WOE TO THOSE WHO CALL EVIL GOOD AND
GOOD EVIL...Isaiah 5:20. PRAY for our country and join us at St. Augustine parish as we endeavor to
accept the challenge of St. John -John Paul ll to build a new CULTURE OF LIFE. Meetings are held in the
rectory following the 5:15pm Mass and benediction the first Tuesday of every month. Contact Lynn
Willig @330-472-9452 for additional information.
