MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

This MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT is made and executed by and between:

The DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR AND LOCAL

GOVERNMENT, a government agency, duly established by
virtue of Executive Order No. 383, with principal office
address at DILG NAPOLCOM Center, EDSA corner Quezon
Avenue, Quezon City, represented herein by ____________,
hereinafter referred to as “DILG”;

and

The MANILA TIMES BROADCASTING CORPORATION, a

private corporation, with its principal office address at 2/F
Sitio Grande Building, 409 A. Soriano Avenue,
Intramuros, Manila, herein represented by Dante A. Ang,
hereinafter referred to as “The Manila Times”.

(All referred herein as “The Parties”)

-WITNESSETH THAT-

WHEREAS, the Parties have agreed to form a project called La Liga Barangay, which is
a non-profit organization as an anti-drug campaign;

WHEREAS, it is a grassroots outreach project by DILG and Manila Times aimed to

NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises, the Parties
(DILG and The Manila Times Broadcasting Corp.) herein have mutually
agreed to execute this MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT, subject to the
following terms and conditions:

ARTICLE III
AMENDMENTS

No amendment or modification of any of the terms and conditions of this

Agreement shall be valid unless evidenced by a written Agreement executed by the
Parties’ authorized representatives.

ARTICLE IV
SEPARABILITY

If any part of this Agreement is declared unenforceable or void, the rest of the
Agreement shall nevertheless remain in full force and effect.

ARTICLE V
WAIVER

No failure, omission or delay of any of the Parties in exercising any of its right,
privileges and remedies hereunder shall operate as a waiver thereof. No waiver or
departure from the terms of this Agreement shall be valid unless made in writing and
signed by the parties’ authorized representative. Such waiver shall be effective only in
the specific instance and for the purpose it was given.

EFFECTIVITY

 This Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) shall take effect upon signing by all
parties concerned and shall remain in force between them, their respective heirs and
assigns.

ARTICLE VII
TERMINATION

The parties may terminate the Agreement upon mutual consent.

ARTICLE VIII
VENUE

This agreement shall be governed by Philippine laws and the Parties agree to
submit any dispute arising out of, or in connection with, this Agreement exclusively to
the courts in City of Manila.
