Manager – Programme and Operation (Promoting Education and Employment Service to


North & East) - PEES

Background of the role – Develop, promote and communicate projects for Education and Employment Service
(EES) in Sri Lanka. Grow the initiative into a national programme that supports employee engagement and
strengthens the employee value proposition by ensuring the programme that enhances the overall project
interventions while bridging community and business goals to drive impact and gain external visibility.
Job Functions

 Lead to design project concept note, support to develop project proposals for forthcoming events.
 Manage the programmatic functions of EES and ensure consistency and effectiveness of it.
 Ensure the operation and procurement units of the project running smoothly with the culture and
norms of the NURTURE SET.
 Manage the project staff and taking care of the recruitment process of the new staff selection.
 Monitor and evaluate project interventions against the KPIs and proxy indicators
 Develop, analyze and evaluate the impact of the programme and finance, resource requirements and
cost/benefit of new programmes
 Develop strategies and materials for the communication of CSR initiatives to all internal and external
audiences, ensuring overall messaging consistency across business units transparently
 Plan and promote events to engage employees and raise awareness of CSR programmes.
 Coordinate with external vendors in order to carry out the procurement process necessary.
 Facilitate soft skills and career development trainings.

Workforce Development Manager – (Private Public Partnership by USAID / CoRE project)


Background of the role – Facilitate the development and expansion of job opportunities for employee
requiring additional assistance, such as vocational training and specialized employment programs and
coordinate market linkage programs from Local to National Level SMEs and private companies.

Main duties and responsibilities:

 Evaluate employee skills and aptitudes;


 Identify employment and training opportunities; and
 Assist employee in overcoming barriers to employment finished skills training, interest assessment,
and disability support.
 Coordinate Job fairs for vocational and industrial employment needs.
 Facilitate the platform where employee and employer comfortably meet and persuade their needs.
 To prepare concept note for conducting research and produce publications, or other research
outputs.
 Facilitate Business Development Trainings to SMEs.
 Coordinate to certify SMEs for industrial standards
o GMP certification for first time for SMEs in North-East- USAID / CoRE project in Sri Lanka.
