I, Zenaida Mendez-Chavez, do hereby depose and state that the following is true

to the best of my information and belief:

Yo, Zenaida Méndez-Chávez, declaro y declaro que lo siguiente es fiel a lo

mejor de mi información y creencia:

1. I am the biological mother of Yoselin Sarai Chavez Mendez.

Soy la madre biológica de Yoselin Sarai Chávez Méndez.

2. I am fully aware that she has filed a petition to have her aunt, Angelica Mendez

Chavez, appointed as her guardian and I have previously assented to that.

Soy plenamente consciente de que ella ha presentado una petición para que su
tía, Angélica Méndez Chávez, sea nombrada su tutor y yo hayamos aceptado previamente
eso.
3. I was also aware and agree with Yoselin’s request to be granted Special

Immigrant Juvenile Status in the desperate hope she can remain in the United States, as

there is little to no opportunity for meaningful education or employment for her in

Guatemala.

 También estaba al tanto y estoy de acuerdo con la solicitud de Yoselin de que se
le otorgue la condición de Inmigrante Juvenil Especial con la desesperada esperanza de
que pueda permanecer en los Estados Unidos, ya que hay pocas o ninguna oportunidad de
educación o empleo significativos para ella en Guatemala.

4. I was given copies of the Petition, the Notarized and Verified and Consent to

Petition, and Notice of Order translated into Spanish. All communications from Yoselin’s

attorney are translated into Spanish for me.

Recibí copias de la Petición, Notarizada y Verificada y Consentimiento a la

petición, el Aviso de orden traducido al español. Todas las comunicaciones del abogado
de Yoselin están traducidas al español para mí.
