Training Completion Report

In their quest of bringing quality and accessible education even to far-flung barangays in
the City of Pagadian. The City West-district Cluster 6 comprising of Dampalan Elementary
School, Lourdes Elementary School and Dumalian Elementary School held its two-day
orientation-workshop entitled, “District Orientation- Workshop on the use if the Philippine
Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) Resource Package”.
By virtue of DepEd order no. 42 in pursuant to the statutory enactment of R.A 10533, the
policy states, among others, that the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) “shall
be used as a basis for all learning and development programs for teachers.” The PPST main goal
is to help proficient teachers (namely those Teacher 1 to Teacher 3), to help flourish and grow in
their chosen profession. Ultimately, its primary goal is to provide those teachers aforementioned,
as well as other professionally matured teachers, with a guide to deliver their lesson effectively
and efficiently, in the end for the benefit of the Filipino learners.
The Department of Education through the Teacher Education Council (TEC) in partnership
with the Basic Education Sector Transformation (BEST) and Research Center for Teacher Quality
(RCTQ) in coordination with the Human Resource Development Division (HRDD-BHRODS) and
the Division Human Resource Development Section (HRDS) will conduct the Orientation-
Workshop on the Use of Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) Resource
Package.
The general objective of this 2-day orientation- workshop is to:
1. Conduct and capacitate all teachers of the Division of Pagadian City on the PPST
Resource Package for teachers.
And below are its specific objectives to wit:
1. Understand and appreciate the use if the PPST Resource Package for Teachers
2. Identify the key concepts of the Resource Package.
3. Developed proposed Action Plan on how to effectively conduct the Orientation in their
respective schools.
4. Contiguously recognize the importance of PPST as basis for all learning and
development programs for teachers.
The facilitators of this orientation-workshop herein as follows:
1. Lalaine R. Bonilla- School Head of Dampalan Elementary School.
2. Alna A. Lasala- School Head of Lourdes Elementary.
3. Domie C. Mata Jr.- School Head of Dumalian Elementary School.
The said orientation-workshop was conducted at Community Center located at Zamboanga
Del Sur National Highschool, Sta. Maria District, Pagadian City. It was a 2-day orientation-
workshop conducted last September 17-18, 2018.
The aforementioned orientation-workshop was attended by twenty-six (26) participants,
twenty (20) of those are elementary teachers coming from different schools already mentioned,
three (3) are learning facilitators and three (3) are TWG. The summary of attendance for this
orientation-workshop can be seen in the registration form duly signed by the participants herein
attached.
The Matrix for this 2-day Orientation-workshop is herein attached together with other
pertinent documents already mentioned above.
The Orientation-workshop was concluded by awarding of certificate to resource speaker
as well as to the participants. After the awarding there was a pictorial by school and as the whole
cluster.
Coupled with the teachers desire to flourish professionally, the 2-day Orientation-
workshop for Philippine Professional Teacher’s Standard becomes was a success. This will surely
aid the more professionally matured teachers in the cluster and most importantly the newly-hired
one in adjusting in their new work environment.
