The phrases used in the Check-up episode were as follows:

1. I’m in a mess. I don’t know if I’ll go to Juan’s dinner or to María’s farewell

celebration.


Estoy hecho/a un lío: no sé si iré a la cena de Juan o a la despedida de María.

2. Oh my goodness! What bad weather we’re having today!


¡Ostras! Qué mal tiempo hace hoy.

3. It was so exciting to see you! It had been so long since the last time!


¡Qué ilusión verte! Hacía mucho tiempo desde la última vez.

4. Playing the piano relaxes me lots but I’m very busy this evening so I can’t play.


Tocar el piano me relaja mucho pero estoy (muy) atareado esta tarde así que

no puedo tocar.

5. Are you still going out with the same guy as last year?
