Reddstart: Healthy Watersheds MiniGrant


Purpose
The purpose of Trees Foundation’s Reddstart: Healthy Watersheds MiniGrant is to aid a Coho Confab participant in
the implementation of a restoration project that will benefit native salmon or steelhead in their home watershed. The
grant will award a maximum of $500 and must be spent before September 30, 2007.
Who Can Apply
Any 2006 Coho Confab participant.
What Is Eligible For Funding
The Reddstart MiniGrant is intended to fund all or a discreet portion of the implementation (not design or monitoring)
of a watershed restoration project. Examples of fundable expenses include, but are not limited to: materials, permit
fees, equipment rental, or contract labor.
How To Apply
Complete this application form explaining the need, the plan, and the expected outcome of your proposed watershed
restoration project. This is meant to be an easy process.
Emphases
Salmon bearing streams or streams with historical salmon occurrence, personal involvement, utilizes skills learned
at the Coho Confab, community involvement in project, new project, clear design and implementation plan,
manageable grassroots project.

Deadline
November 1, 2006. A decision will be reached by January 31, 2007. All applicants will be notified by mail.
