Name of the Business and its Stakeholders

The Masagani is a combination of two words “masagani” and “ani” which aims to

represents every farmers ‘crop to be always fruitful and bountiful during harvest time. It’s

a business selling organic means-fertilizer. It also produces a product that ensure to help

the growth of farmer’s crop.

The stakeholders are the employees, the owner, the community benefiting from it

and the consumer who will used it. Their importance is very significant because without

them the business cannot work alone and most especially the need manpower to produce

the product.

Forms of Ownership

The proponent decided to form the business as sole proprietorship as it put into

consideration the capital requirements of the said project. Moreover, it is subject to fewer

regulations unlike the other business organizations. The owner has the full right with

regards to business decision.

The business will be owned and managed by Carlo V. Beltran. He will be the one

who will handle the staffs and guide the workers. All the assets of the business are owned

by the proprietor and all the debts of the business are all debt and liability of the proprietor.
Vision

Masagani is envisioned is to be a sustainable partners of the local farmers in making

sure that their crops and soils are fruitful, bountiful and chemical-free.

5Ms (Man, Machines, Method, Money, Materials)

A. Money. Masagani’s initial capital will be P250,000. It will be used for pre-

operating expenses and investment for the construction and design of the business,

for salary of employees and activities

B. Machines. The Machines will that will be using by the Masagani are (a)electric

fan for cooling of the establishment.; (b) television for entertainment and (c)

computers for cashier and reporting of daily operation.

C. Materials. Masagani will be using drums in fermenting the product. Bottles that

are mostly found in the junkshop that have been sterilized. We’ll also be using

gardening tools in showing the effectiveness of our product in the garden Masagani

will also be using office supplies for documentation of daily report of operation,

medicine kit for accident may happen for first aid.

D. Men. Masagani will be hiring (3) employees composed of one (1) marketing

officer and two (2) farm workers. The marketing officer will be the one supervising

the overall performance of Masagani and he will also at the same time will accept

the payment made the costumers. The Farm workers will be responsible on

fermenting the product as well as doing the packaging and delivering the product.
E. Methods. Procedure in making Fish Amino Acid. Combine 1 kilo of molasses to

1 kilo of fish parts in a drum. Mix it and let it ferment for 21 days. Put it on the

container.

Organizational Chart

The proponent will adopt a line type organization that provides good

communication between the store owner and the employees. This type of organization is

effective because there is a downward dissemination of information and duties from the

owner down to the employees.

Employee Recruitment and Selection

1. Sourcing candidates. Generally means, finding suitable candidates for the job

vacancies need for the business. This means posting online advertisement in finding

new employees that will fit in accordance with our qualification.

2. Reviewing. Reading and analyzing the resume passed by our applicants and doing

some background check.

3. Screening and Interviewing. The applicants will be called to have an interview at

the same time screening regarding their skills and knowledge about the agriculture

industry and to know if they are qualified to the job specification.

4. Selection. After interviewing the candidates, we will take the feedback from other

employees and would decide if they are suitable for the job. Selection will based

on the interview that happen, the confidence he gave us and also the attitude did

during the interview and selection.

5. Orientation. There will be a one-day orientation regarding the making of the

product and proper application.

Compensation, Benefits and Wages

Compensation

A. An employee is made or permitted to work on his scheduled rest day, shall

be paid an additional compensation of at least thirty percent (30%) of his

regular wage.

B. The business will give consideration such as monetary rewards depends on

the performance of the employees.


C. Every worker shall be paid his regular daily wage during regular holidays,

except in retail and service establishments regularly employing less than ten

(10) workers.

D. The employer may require an employee to work on any holiday but such

employee shall be paid a compensation equivalent to twice his regular rate.

Benefits

According to the Department of Labor and Employment, there are mandatory

benefits that every employee must have.

A. Social Security System (SSS) – The SSS was created to provide private

employees and their families protection against disability, sickness, old age,

and death. The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) is the

equivalent system for Philippine government employees.

B. Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF) – The HDMF, also known as

the Pag-IBIG Fund, is a provident savings system supplying housing loans

to private and Philippine government employees, and to self-employed

persons who elect to join the Fund.

C. Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) – PhilHealth is

administered by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and provides

employees with a practical means of paying for adequate medical care in

the Philippines.

Wages
A. The salary of the laborer and employee will be based on the minimum wage

of the province of Tarlac which is PHP 350-370.

B. The salary of the employee will be given every 15th and 30th every month.

C. There shall be a deduction to salary if there the leave of absence is not

known to the employer.

D. No deduction from the deposits of an employee for the actual amount of the

loss or damage shall be made unless the employee has been heard thereon,

and his responsibility has been clearly shown.

Working Hours

A. Normal Working Hours. The employee must render at least eight (8) hours

a day and exclusive one (1) hour lunch break every Mondays to Fridays.

B. Meal Periods. The employees will be given not less than sixty (60) minutes

for lunch break and will almost start 12 pm.

C. Overtime Work. If our employee will work us in overtime, proper

payment will be given to him/her which consists of an additional

compensation equivalent to his regular wage plus at least 25%. During a

holiday or rest day he shall be paid an additional compensation equivalent

to the rate of the first eight hours plus at least 30%

D. Rest Day. The employees will have the weekends as their rest day.

E. Legal Holidays. Pursuant to the provisions of the Philippines Labor Code,

as encoded in relation to the observance of declared holidays (as amended

by RA 9492), the following guidelines shall be observed by all employees.

Other businesses or even companies treat trainings and development as a cost of their

organization but training and development is considered as an investment to the

organization. Training programs are learning experience that seeks relatively permanent

change in every individual to improve their personality and growth

1. Fish Amino Acid Training/ Seminar. Gaining knowledge about Fish

Amino Acid. Conducting lecturers and demonstration on how to prepare

Fish Amino Acid correctly. We’ll be invited an authorized person to speak

about the Fish Amino Acid

2. Organic Farming Seminar. Since Fish Amino Acid is an organic product,

all employees must undergone a seminar regarding Organic Farming and

needs to earn certificate that they’ve attended the said seminar.

3. Farm Visit. Wanting to expose all the employees to all aspect of farming

that could be applied to our own product. Analyzing the needs of the

business and satisfying the needs of the customer

4. Team Building. It aims to build relationship with co-employees and also

to establish good relationship and companionship towards each other.

Legal Aspect

Business Permit Requirement and Licensing Requirements

Masagani being a new business has to comply with the govermnent rules and

regulations before and during its operation. Such as compliance is necessary not only

because it requires a legal personality in almost, but also, it is necessary so that the business

could avail some privileges and other incentives offered by the government.

The business is required to acquire the business permit such as:

1. Barangay Clearance

2. DTI/SEC Registration

3. BIR Forms ( No. 1901, No. 1906, No. 0605, No. 2000)

4. SSS Registration
5. PhilHealth Insurance Company

6. PAG-IBIG Funds

7. Mayor’s Permit

8. Bureau of Fire Protection

A. Barangay Clearance

This clearance certifies that your business complies with the requirements

of the local barangay where your business will operate. These are the requirements

needed to secure barangay clearance.

 Community Tax Certicate or Cedula

 Application Form

 Valid ID (SSS, Passport, Portal or any government-issued ID)

B. DTI/SEC Registration

The business name should be registered with the DTI. It would only take

four to five days before the permit is received, if no other name of its type. The

business name was registered in the office pursuant to the provisions Act 3883, as

amended by Act 4147 and Republic Act No. 863, and with compliance of the rules

and regulations prescribed by the DTI.

C. BIR Forms

Use a primary form of identification. Community tax certificates are used

when someone acknowledged a document before a notary public, takes an oath of

office or is appointed to a government position, receives.

E. PHILHEALTH INSURANCE COMPANY

To register with Philhealth, the company must submit the following

documents:

1.Employer Data Record (Form ER 1)

2.Report of Employeee- members (Form ER2)

3.SEC Registration

4.DIR Registration

5.Copy of Busines permit

Upon submission of the required documents, the company shall get the

receiving copy of all forms as a proof of membership until PhilHealth releases the

employer and employee numbers within three months.

F. PAG-IBIG Funds

Managed by the PAG-IBIG Fund, all employees required to register and

contribute
to fund. Former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo signed it into law Republic Act

No.9679, making membership mandatory. It is mainly used to supply housing loans

and calamaity relief funds to its members
