Introduction:
In Spain, there are many different meals that are popular in their culture and different from US
culture. Unlike in the US, they typically have up to five meals a day, including breakfast, brunch,
lunch, snack, and dinner. The United States generally only consists of three meals a day
including, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

En España hay muchas diferentes comidas que son populares en su cultura y son diferentes de
Los Estados Unidos. Ellos típicamente tienen cinco comidas al día, incluyendo desayuno,
almuerzo, comida, merienda y cena. En los Estados Unidos generalmente hay tres comida al
día, incluyendo desayuno, comida y cena.
Explaining Tapas:
In Spain, tapas are many different small dishes. Tapas are not all the same, they can be big or
small and hot or cold. They are very similar to appetizers in the United States and are served all
day in bars and cafes. There are two main times when people tend to eat tapas, before/during
lunch and in the evening around 8:30 to midnight. They are important to Spain’s culture and are
a large part of the social scene.

En España, las tapas son muchos pequeños platos diferentes. Tapas no son las mismas .
Pueden ser grandes o pequeñas y calientes o frías. Son muy similares a la apervito de los
Estados Unidos y son servidos todos día en los bares y cafés. En España hay dos ocasiones
cuando las personas de España comen tapas, durante almuerzo y en la tarde a las 8:30. Es
muy importante a la cultura de España y es una importante actividad social.
Nightlife in Spain is important to the social scene. Going out for Tapas is a common tradition in
Spain. At night people will go out to tapas bars and have a small tapa and drinks at each place.
This is a very social time and is full of people having fun.

La vida nocturna de España es importante para la vida social. Fuera por tapas es tradición
cotidiano en España. En noche gente sale a tasca de tapas y tiene a pequeño tapa y bebe en
cada sitio. Esto es un muy social ahora y es lleno de gente tener divertiste.
Recipe:
Instructions:
● Quarter cherry tomatoes, chop basil and mince garlic.
● In a bowl toss salt, garlic, basil, tomatoes and olive oil, and a few twists of pepper. Let
rest while preparing other foods.
● Slice baguette, butter one side of each slice and grill.
● Layer half a slice of serrano ham, manchego cheese and a spoonful of bruschetta
(tomato mixture) on baguette slices.
● Broil to melt cheese (only a minute or so) and serve immediately.
Ingredients:
● 1 baguette
● 1lb tomatito cherry
● 1-2 tbs aceite de oliva
● 1/2 tsp sal marina
● 1 grande diente de ajo
● 5-10 albahaca
● Fresca Pimienta molida
● Manchego queso
● 1/4 lb sureno hamon
● Mantequilla
Instructions:
● Cuarto tomatito cherry, cortar albahaca y trocear diente de ajo.
● En un bol, lanzar sal marina, diente de ajo, albahaca, tomatito cherry y aceite de oliva y
un poqueno fresca pimienta molida. Dejar resto mientras preparar otra comidas.
● Rebanada baguette, mantequilla uno lado de cada rebanada y parrilla.
● Capa mitad un rebanada de serrano jamon , manchego queso y un chucharada de
bruschetta en baguette rebanada.
