Class 5 Date October 21, 2018, 12:40 p.m.

Overall aim and context of the lesson

In this lesson the students were able to:

 Investigate different mixtures and solutions.

 Compare how different substances dissolve, react, and float or sink in water.
 Recognize that some changes of state and dissolving and mixing processes can be
reversed through filtering, sieving, and evaporation.

 Explain that some changes form new materials, and these materials are not usually
reversible.

Select (S):
This lesson in the sixth session of this course. It is about how can comparing between different
reversible and irreversible materials.

Describe (D):

This lesson for year five students to learn how can comparing between reversible and irreversible
materials. It was in grade five class in the school. In this lesson, the students think and figure out
of how does can identify between the different materials that are reversible or irreversible.

Analyze (A):
I think the students responded with the way that they did because they understood all the
instructions of the activities and the goals of the lesson. I have engaged their understanding
through asked them to remember what they touch in the last lesson by give the groups some
different words, questions, and pictures, and they found the right word with the right sentence or
picture from the other groups.

Appraise (A):

There was experiment in this lesson which the students will investigate some reversible and
irreversible changes by mixing different materials together such as vinegar with baking powder,
sand with water, lemon juice with baking powder, then they wrote their finding in the worksheet.
I believe that this lesson meets my teaching goals, because the students understood well the
meaning of the lesson vocabulary such as reversible, irreversible, soluble, insoluble and they have
a lot of information and experiences about it and I saw that during their writing and discussions
when I asked them to write the definition of reversible and irreversible changes with some
examples at the end of the class.

Transform (T):

In the future I will enhance student learning of this lesson through using other ideas to refresh their
thinking more. For example, at the end of the class I will review with the students what has been
learned and ask for their examples which are reversible and irreversible changes. The implications
for my professional practice are it can improve my skills more and achieve my teaching goals during
the semester.
