Dear Father administrators, Ma’am Jo, the faculty,
proud parents, good afternoon.
As me and wife were watching the children dance, I
remembered and noted to myself that the feasts our children enacted and performed, namely the Masskara Festival of Bacolod, the Panagbenga Festival of Bagiuo and the Sinulog festival of Cebu, are feasts done to commemorate important events in the said cities’ histories.
In this convocation activity, dear parents, we
commemorate our children’s achievements. By being here, we are gathered not only to secure our children’s report cards, but more importantly to remember what happened during our children’s first grading period as a sixth grader in this beloved school. The class discussions, the inter-action and experiences between and among classmates and teachers, will form part of the life lessons our children will look back to many years from now. These character-building experiences, my dear parents, are achievements by themselves, worthy of commemoration and all-out show of gratitude to the administrators and teachers. (Thank you, Ma’am Jo, thank you, teachers)
With this, I respectfully close today’s activities and, with
you, look forward to another milestone ahead, which, as we all know, will be the graduation day of our sons and daughters come 2018.
Thank you very much and may the Lord Jesus Christ, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, bless all of us throughout the school year and beyond.
