This is a matter of immense satisfaction and joy tome as well as forthe entire organization. The Golden Jubilee Celebrations of our company has just gone by. The year has unleashed fresh challenges in all spheres of our operations. Therefore, we have to be consistent in our endeavour to prove ourselves as sensitive and responsible corporate citizens as ever by rising to the mammoth task of nation building (ur stakeholders, particularly the Govt, has very high expectations from us with regard to delivery on various parameters of our operations particularly onthe CSR front. As per the Companies Act, 2013, inthe event of faling short ofthe stipulated/targeted fund spent on CSR during the year, we would have to prove reasons for theunspent amount inthe Annual Report forthe year and to carry forward the said amount to the next year. To ensure full utilization of funds, the BLC for CSR is continuously and periodically reviewing the status. The Companies Act, 2013 leads the challenge for organizations particularly ours as we grapple to integrate our business with not just social but also economic and environmental objectives of the socioty. The postive sie ofthis challengeis that itis an opportunity for us to expand our outreach to the society showcasing our good CSR practices despite the fact that the business environment is becoming increasingly complex and our stakeholders’ expectations soaring sky high. Asa successful CSR entity we should strive to build our trust and confidence inthe society.
