Analyze Learners:

My students are elementary schoolers, ages from 5 t0 10 years old. There are 13 students in the
class; 9 female and 4 male. Their ethnicities are 5 of them Spanish, 5 are Turkish and 3 of them
Asians. Their general abilities are be able to see, hear, smell, read, write, speak and understand.
Their special abilities are be able to calculate, draw, sing and think three dimensional. My
students learning styles are visual, auditory, logical and mathematical. Some international
students sometimes have difficulties in English. Their social, economic and cultural status are in
average. Some students have lacks in math basis.. I except my students that at least they have
some basic knowledge geometry and foundation concepts for second grade geometry

State Standards and Objectives:

§111.4. Mathematics, Grade 2, Adopted 2012.

According to the TEKS Geometry and measurement. The student applies mathematical process
standards to analyze attributes of two-dimensional shapes and three-dimensional solids to
develop generalizations about their properties.
The student is expected to:
(A) create two-dimensional shapes based on given attributes, including number of sides and
vertices;
(B) classify and sort three-dimensional solids, including spheres, cones, cylinders, rectangular
prisms (including cubes as special rectangular prisms), and triangular prisms, based on attributes
using formal geometric language;
(C) classify and sort polygons with 12 or fewer sides according to attributes, including
identifying the number of sides and number of vertices;
(D) compose two-dimensional shapes and three-dimensional solids with given properties or
attributes; and
(E) decompose two-dimensional shapes such as cutting out a square from a rectangle, dividing a
shape in half, or partitioning a rectangle into identical triangles and identify the resulting
geometric parts.

Select Strategies, Technology, Media, and Materials:

In order to better understand the course, I will use Electronic Whiteboards, Desktops, Projectors
and computer. Will use textbook and exercise book. Seating of students should be as both can
see other. Students should be able to see the board. Also, I will put up posters about math on the
wall. Some manipulates for hands on learning.

Utilize Technology, Media, and Materials:

I will utilize technology by using iPads and the projector so that the students can follow along. I
will post things on Edmodo or schoology or any education platform that the kids use. If I am
teaching through a lectures then I will have the PowerPoints on the Edmodo so that they can look
back at the anything they have missed.

Require Learner Participation:

For student participation I will make create an interacting environment. They will need to
interact with each other and make for a better learning experience. Walking around the
classroom will help stimulate their brains and they will not be bored. I will use real life examples
they can play with and hold alone with visually stimulating videos that they can see.
Evaluate and Revise:

At the end I will summarize and do a hands on exercise that will make them use all of the things
they learned. If students have problems will the exercise then ill help correct their makes and
verify that it has been corrected. After all student have successfully completed the exercise they
will be rewarded.
