You are going to see images of five cities and their landmarks. Write a
paragraph describing each city and country it belongs and the landmark shown.
Use the vocabulary from the box for the descriptions. The first one is done for
you as an example. / A continuación verá imágenes de cinco ciudades y sus
lugares representativos. Escriba un párrafo describiendo cada ciudad, el país al
que pertenece y el lugar mostrado. Use el vocabulario dentro del recuadro para

New York is a big city in the

United States (North
America). It takes thousand of
visitors every year. The city
has a population of around 8
million people. There is a lot
to see and do in New York.
You can visit the Central Park,
the Metropolian museum and
Time’s Square. In the picture
you can see the Statue of
Liberty, a monumet built
between 1875 and 1986. It is
93 meters tall. The statue is

the Hudson River.

Rome (Italy) – Saint Peter’s Square
Sydney (Australia) – The Sydney Opera
House
Rome is the capital of Italy and
of the Lazio region. The Saint
Peter´s Square is one of the
most beautiful and largests
squares. It is located at the
Vatica at the foot of the Basilica
of Saint Peter. The dimensions
of the square are impressive:
335 meters long and 250 meters
width. It was projected nothing
more and nothing less than by
Gian Lorenzo Bernini between
1656 and 1667 under the
command of Pope Alexander VII.
Is the state capital of New South
Wales and the most populous
city in Australia and Oceania.
Located on Australia's east
coast, the metropolis surrounds
the world's largest natural
harbour, and sprawls towards
the Blue Mountains to the west.
The Sydney Opera House,
considered one of the wonders
of the modern world, is a
magnificent building, which
stands as an icon of Australia in
one of the most beautiful bays in
the country. If you contemplate
carefully you will see in their
architectural lines a ship
sailingat full power.

over critical matters of national
importance in the country's
legislature.
The Burj Khalifa (Khalifa Tower)
is the tallest building in the world
with a height of 828 meters. In
the building involving more than
20.000 people from 30 countries.
He was previously known as
Burj Dubai (Dubai Tower).
