LESSON AIMS :
Warm-up
Teacher enters the classroom, greets students and they greet teacher back. Teacher
asks for the absentees and the student on duty names the absentees if necessary. As well
teacher asks students how they feel and if they are prepared for the new lesson.

Teacher checks homework and corrects mistakes if necessary. Students correct the
mistakes in their notebooks.

PRESENTATION
Procedure: In order to introduce the lesson T asks Ss some questions What’s the date today?
and Is your birthday today?. After that T shows Ss a picture to help them revise the numbers
previously learnt. T names one of the students to count the candles on the cake.
T announces that today’s lesson is about numbers. We are going to consolidate our knowledge
of numbers. T writes the title of the lesson on the blackboard.
Then T writes on the board the numbers who change their spelling (three – thirteen – thirty, four
– fourteen – forty, five – fifteen – fifty) and tells to the Ss to pay attention to those changes.

PRACTICE
Procedure: T gives a worksheet with different types of exercises to each student so that they
practice. After solving their tasks the Ss are asked to read in front of the classroom their
answers from the worksheet.
Time: 12 min
PRODUCTION
Procedure: T gives to the students a worksheet with a crossword puzzle on it. For this task
students will work in pairs.
Time: 15 min
Feedback
Teacher provides continuous feedback through observations during the lesson. Teacher checks
that the students complete the tasks entirely and correctly at any stage of the lesson, gives
extra explanations whenever necessary.
T offers the Ss a yellow post it and asks to draw a smiley face if they enjoyed the lesson and a
sad one if they didn’t.

Assigning Homework
Ss are asked to write five sentences where they will use family members, verb to be and
numbers to tell their family members’ age. T writes them an example on the blackboard.
Teacher praises all students for their participation during the entire lesson.
