Last school holidays, Mandy and her family went to Penang Island. Penang
Island is located to the north of Peninsular Malaysia. Mandy loves the island as it is
beautiful and has a lot of interesting places to visit. They planned on staying there
from Friday till Monday.

Mr Tan drove his family to the island through Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam
Shah Bridge, the second bridge of the Penang Island. They checked into the Gurney
Drive Hotel by the beach. They visited many interesting places such as Butterfly
Farm, the Botanical Gardens, the Kek Lok Si Temple and the Snake Temple. At the
Kek Lok Si Temple, Mandy and her family walked up the steps of the pagoda. Mandy
loved the place as the scenery was beautiful. They also went to Bukit Bendera. They
rode a train to reach the top. The weather was cool and refreshing.

At night, they enjoyed the hawker food at Gurney Drive and the scenery at the
seaside. Mandy was very happy. It was indeed a memorable holiday for her.
