1. List THREE (3) different types of conversion methods.
4. Assume a data stream is made of 11100101. Encode this bit stream using the Differential
Manchester encoding schemes.
5. Assume a data stream is made of 10110111. Encode this bit stream using RZ encoding
schemes.
6. Draw a series of Phase Shift Keying (PSK) modulation method using 900 to represent bit 0
and 2700 to represent bit 1 for the following bit streams. Assumes that 2 Hz and 35 volt are
used in this case.
8. Identify ONE (1) advantage and TWO (2) advantages of parallel transmission.
10. By referring to a digital-to-digital bi-phase polar encoding, encode the bit stream 10010110 by
using Manchester encoding scheme.
11. By referring to a digital-to-digital bipolar AMI encoding scheme, encode the bit stream
01110011.
12. Draw a series of sine waves output in an ASK modulation method using 2Hz signal with 10 volt
to represent 1 and 5 volt to represent 0 for the 110100 bit stream.
14. Differentiate between polar encoding, unipolar encoding, and bipolar encoding.
16. By referring to a digital-to-digital bi-phase polar encoding, encode the bit stream 10010110 by
using Differential Manchester encoding scheme.
17. By referring to a digital-to-digital bipolar AMI encoding scheme, encode the bit stream
11100010.
18. Draw a series of sine waves output in a FSK modulation method using 2Hz signal with 10 volt
to represent 1 and 1Hz to represent 0 for the 100110 bit stream.
