Study tour on Petroleum Revenue

Management in Ghana:
7th – 10th November 2017

Objectives
 Take an Opportunity to learn more about the experience of Ghana, as an African case
study, in the design and implementation of the petroleum revenue management act.
What works well and what didn’t work well?

 Review and assess the Ghanaian sovereign wealth fund (strengths and weaknesses),
it’s impact on the economy, the efficiency of its investments, and difficulties
encountered in the management of the funds

 Identify key institutions involved, their role and responsibilities, as well as discuss
governance practices and challenges that may arise during the course of
implementation and how to overcome them

 Take advice and recommendations from the Ghanaian government for a successful
management of the sovereign wealth fund in Senegal
