These types of exercises are usually a hard nut to crack so you have to

manage certain Grammatical Structures. You should start studying these


structures one by one and that’s what we are going to practice.

1. USE ANOTHER COMPARATIVE THAT MEANS THE SAME:

(NOT) AS/SO + ADJECTIVE / 1-2 syllables: ADJECTIVE / ADVERB + -ER + THAN


ADVERB + AS 2- > Syllables: MORE ADJECTIVE / ADVERB + THAN

Jane is taller than Mark John is more popular than Martha


Mark isn’t as tall as Jane Martha isn’t so popular as John.

LESS + ADJECTIVE / ADVERB + 1-2 syllables: THE + ADJECTIVE / ADVERB + -EST
