True Lies

Whatever we trust to be true


Won’t need to be rebooted
But will signify inside our minds as
Light shines on un-shadowed water—
The apprehensible is the world
We earn by senses’ sum—
The sum of whatever comes
To be perceived—fragile—
Diaphanous—subjective as
The sun one can’t stare at too long
Without excising retinas from our
Viable receptors of true lies—
True lies circumscribed by laws
Humans can debate—by quarrels
We incubate until new insights
Blossom in light of other lies
Inside the truths we glorify &
Liberate & damn & deify
& claim as our domain or reject
If we object to what remains—
