HOMEWORK POLICY (GUIDELINES)

 Assign relevant, challenging and meaningful homework that
reinforces classroom learning (avoid printing as part of
homework).
 Give clear instructions and make sure students understand the
purpose.
 Provide immediate feedback and correct homework.
 Homework should not be assigned on weekends or during winter
or spring break.
 Every Wednesday, homework for next week should be posted in
NEMAX specifying due date.*
 For each grade level, the amount of time students shall be
expected to spend on homework, based on a number of research
studies:
 Junior High students: 50-120 minutes per day.

*Mrs Zulma will coordinate amount and time of all school subjects
homework

Time and amount MAXIMUM per week

English: 3 times, 20 minutes each
Math, Spanish, Science: 2 times, 20
minutes each
( IXL, lab report and reading skills are
exempted)
Others: 1 time, 20 minutes
