Offensive Co-Players of the Week

Donald McKillop, Middlebury
(Senior, QB - Poway, Calif.)
McKillop tied the Panther program record for completions - which he already owns - as he went 47-for-62 (.758) for
421 yards and two touchdowns (140.26 efficiency rating) in a tough 38-31 setback to unbeaten Amherst on Saturday
afternoon. He also gained 20 yards on the ground. McKillop also became New England Division III’s all-time leader in
completions during the game, as his 666 career completions surpassed the 628 owned by James Williams ‘09 of West-
ern Conn. St.

Shea Dwyer, Wesleyan

(Graduate Student, RB - Marlborough, Conn.)
A week after breaking the 24-year old single-game rushing record for the Cardinals with 213 yards, Dwyer rumbled for 255
yards on 31 carries (8.2 per rush) and had three of his team’s four touchdowns in a 27-20 victory at Colby. It was the first
win for Wesleyan in Waterville since 1998. After giving the Cardinals a 7-6 lead with a 10-yard touchdown run seconds
into the second quarter, Dwyer broke through the line on Wesleyan’s next possession and scrambled 89 yards to make his
second appearance in the end zone on the day.

Defensive Player of the Week

Griffin Cardew, Bowdoin
(Freshman, CB - Ipswich, Mass.)
Cardew collected a pair of key interceptions, forced three pass break-ups, and had seven tackles (five solo) as the
Polar Bear defense held the Tufts offense to just nine points in a 22-15 victory, Bowdoin’s first win of the season.
Cardrew’s first interception stalled a Tufts drive and led to Bowdoin’s first score of the game. Later in the game,
with the Polar Bears leading late and Tufts driving for the tying score, Cardew grabbed his second interception

Special Teams Player of the Week

Grant White, Bowdoin
(Freshman, P - Springfield, Vt.)
White played a big part in the Polar Bears’ 22-15 win against Tufts on Saturday, as he helped Bowdoin win the
battle of field position in the fourth quarter. White dropped three punts inside the Tufts 20, including a pair of
boots which were downed inside the Jumbos’ six-yard line. He averaged 37.5 yards per kick and also converted
an 18-yard fake punt for a first down.

Notes From Week #3
Amherst
Junior RB Eric Bunker (Topsfield, Mass.) ac-
counted for the Lord Jeffs’ final two touchdowns
in a 38-31 victory at Middlebury on Saturday. He
accumulated 119 yards of total offense, gaining
88 yards on the ground on 18 carries (4.9 per
carry) and catching four passes for 31 yards
Bunker
(7.9). Sixty of his total yards came in a pivotal
fourth quarter, as his one-yard touchdown run with 2:32 to play
broke a 31-all tie. Bunker has rushed for at least one touch-
down in each of the Lord Jeffs’ games this season, including
two in the last two outings. Junior DB Evan Rosenstein (New
Canaan, Conn.) had 12 tackles (seven solo), 0.5 TFL, an
interception, and a pass break up in Saturday’s victory. His
interception early in the third quarter in Middlebury territory led
to the Jeffs’ first touchdown of the day following a four-play,
32-yard drive. Junior P/K Matt Rawson (Bethesda, Md.) was
5-for-5 on PAT for the third time in as many games, and also
connected on a 37-yard field goal attempt (1-for-2). He also
averaged 35.2 yards on four punts with a long of 54 and one
inside the Middlebury 20.
Bates
Sophomore RB Patrick George (Gloucester, Mass.) rushed five
times for 34 yards (6.8 per carry) in the Bobcats’ 41-0 setback
to Williams on Saturday. Senior OLB Myles Walker (Needham,
Mass.) had a career-high 14 tackles (12 solo), including one
for a loss, and also had a pass deflection. Senior K/P Gavin
Segall-Abrams (Greensboro, N.C.) punted 11 times for a
37.3-yard average, including a long of 50 and two inside the
Eph 20. Prior to Saturday’s game, Bates dedicated the major
renovations to Garcelon Field, which included a new artificial
turf surface and lights.
Bowdoin
Rookie running back Zach Donnarumma (Ramsey, N.J.) ran for
a career-high 114 yards (3.8 per carry) and two touchdowns to
lead the Polar Bears past Tufts on Saturday, 22-15. His second
scramble of the day, a six-yard run off-tackle in the third quarter,
put Bowdoin up for good in the game. Donnarumma’s rushing
performance was the best for a Polar Bear freshman in over a
decade. Junior WR Pat Noone (North Attleboro, Mass.) caught
13 passes, one shy of his own school record, for 131 yards on
Saturday. With the performance, Noone became the first Polar
Bear to ever surpass 100 career receptions.
Colby
Junior wide receiver Connor Walsh (Hamilton, Mass.) tied a
program record with 11 catches in the Mules’ 27-20 loss to
Wesleyan on Saturday. He also had two touchdown catches of
eight and five yards, and finished the game with 88 total receiv-
ing yards. Through three games, Walsh has 18 catches.

Hamilton
Sophomore wide receiver McCullough Shriver (Marborough,
Conn.) recorded a career-high eight caches in Saturday’s 41-7
setback to Trinity. He finished the game with a team-best 36
receiving yards. Sophomore DL Jim Forrey (Glen Rock, N.J.)
was credited with a game-high seven tackles, all solo. Four of
the seven tackles were for a combined loss of 18 yards. He
also accounted for both Hamilton sacks. Senior K/P George
Taylor (Pleasantville, N.Y.) punted seven times for 256 yards
(36.6 per punt), including a career-long of 68 yards. He pinned
the Bantams inside their own 20 once. Taylor also connected
on his lone PAT attempt.
Middlebury
Junior defensive back Michael Bilodeau led the Panthers on
Saturday with 10 tackles (six solo), while sophomore DB John
Wiet recorded nine (six solo), including one for a loss of one
yard in a 38-31 loss to Amherst. Kicker Anthony Kuchan opened
the scoring in Saturday’s game with a 20-yard field goal, just
moments after keeping the drive alive with a three-yard rush
on a fake punt.
Trinity
Freshman running back Dante Astheimer (Pottstown, Pa.)
rushed eight times for 111 yards and added his first career
touchdown in the Bantams’ 41-7 win at Hamilton on Saturday.
Senior CB Harry Melendez (Holyoke, Mass.) picked off two
passes in the victory. His first interception gave Trinity the ball
at the Continental 25-yard line and set up a touchdown to give
the Bantams a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.
Tufts
Senior QB Anthony Fucillo (Winthrop, Mass.)
set a new passing yards record with 356 at
Bowdoin on Saturday. He erased the 28-year old
record of 354 yards held by Dave Piermarini in
1982. sophomore Tommy Castle (Yarrow Point,
Wash.) returned an interception 48 yards for a
Fucillo
touchdown, the second pick returned to the end
zone for the Jumbo defense this season.
Williams
Senior quarterback Patrick Moffitt (Washington
Township, N.J.) connected on 21-of-29 passes
(.724) for 289 yards and tossed two touchdowns
while not being intercepted in the Ephs’ 41-0 win
at Bates. He completed passes to nine different
Williams receivers. Senior MLB Dylan Schultz
Moffitt
(Williamstown, Mass.) made 11 tackles (10 solo)
in the victory, with two for a loss of 14 yards. He also recorded
a sack for a loss of 10 yards.
