ARCAM HEADQUARTERS
Arcam is the brainchild of a group of dedicated scientists and engineers that in

1997 set out on a quest to create a technology for direct manufacturing of com-
plex parts from metal powder.
The company has its head office in Gothenburg, Sweden, with a subsid-
iary in the USA. The company has representation in, amongst others, the US,
Canada, Germany, UK, Italy, France, Australia, Japan and South Korea.
The company is publicly listed in Sweden.
The Arcam EBM machines are in operation worldwide for applications
within medical implants, aerospace, research, education, and process industry.
Arcam assembles the EBM machines in Gothenburg and uses its highly
skilled service and engineering staff to install the machines at the customer site
to insure the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction. Each machine
that leaves Arcam undergoes extensive testing to guarantee compliance with
the Arcam quality standards.

Material properties

Achieving target material properties is essential for fabrication of primary
components for demanding applications. Arcam is committed to ensuring
first-class mechanical properties on all qualified materials. Metal powders
supplied by Arcam undergo extensive testing before release to customers,
and the configuration of the powder is optimised for the EBM process.

Arcam’s high standard metallurgical properties are verified by static and


dynamic testing of mechanical properties, chemical composition and detailed
