Application Configurations
LAMBDA 25/35/45 UV/Vis Spectrophotometers

S P E C T R O P H O T O M E T R Y
Overview
Use this document as a quick reference guide for quoting some common applications and industry-specific
configurations. In each case, a PC should be either ordered from PerkinElmer, or must be supplied by the
customer. All versions of UV WinLab™ software run on Windows® 2000 or XP. An RS-232 cable to connect
to the PC is included with the instrument.

1. LAMBDA 35 Routine Reflectometry System

For routine reflectance measurements on powders, packaging and other solid samples.

4. LAMBDA 25 Autosampling System

7. LAMBDA 25 Teaching and Biosciences System

A simple, low-cost configuration for teaching laboratories in schools, colleges and universities. For biosciences
laboratories, UV WinLab V2.85 contains a suite of standard DNA, RNA, oligonucleotide, protein and enzyme
kinetics methods.

10. LAMBDA 25 Multi-Cell Kinetics System (1)

For kinetics and similar analyses between 25 to 45 ˚C. Ideal for labs that need to switch rapidly between temperatures.

For kinetics and similar analyses between 20 to 60 ˚C. The 8+1 cell-changer is water-thermostatted.

Ideal for in-situ liquid analysis where the sample cannot be brought to the spectrophotometer or removed from the vessel.

Additional Options
Water Thermostatting
For configurations 2 and 3, water circulation is required to remove heat from the Peltier block. For these, or any other configurations
which require thermostatting, offer one of the following if the customer does not already have a suitable water bath:

• L6310205 Water Circulator (120V, 60 Hz)

Lamps
With any configuration, offer the following spare lamps. Each is pre-aligned and can be easily changed by the user.

Calibrated Reference Materials

The following calibration materials provide verification of the performance of the spectrophotometer. All materials are certified
traceable to NIST primary reference material and include a calibration certificate.
