MISIÓN
La carrera de Licenciatura en Contabilidad y Auditoría CPA persigue formar estrategas
empresariales con visión sistémica de las organizaciones capaces de proveer soluciones
integrales para el desarrollo sustentable del país, en una economía globalizada y competitiva;
con altos grados de principios morales y éticos en el desempeño de sus funciones inspirados en
la fe cristiana de la Iglesia Católica.

VISIÓN
Ser una carrera líder en la formación de contadores públicos, con nivel de Licenciatura,
emprendedores y competitivos al servicio de una sociedad nacional e internacional, eficiente,
justa y sustentable.

JUSTIFICACIÓN
La carrera de Licenciatura en Contabilidad y Auditoría CPA., forma parte de la oferta
académica de La Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Administrativas de la Universidad
Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil. De igual modo, la matrícula y egresados de esa área han
estado entre las más elevadas en los últimos 5 años. De esta situación podría emitirse el criterio
de saturación de profesionales del área de la contaduría, si nos limitamos sólo a ese análisis;
pero si se observa el crecimiento de los sectores servicios y empresarial, se encontrará que los
volúmenes de informaciones y datos constituyen un manejo complejo en los aspectos
financieros. De igual modo, los sistemas contables forman parte de la automatización de los
procesos para la toma de decisiones. De ahí que se requiere de un profesional de la contabilidad
con amplios conocimientos de informática y de la gestión contable y financiera; así como por lo
menos, el dominio de la terminología y el lenguaje técnico del área, en el idioma inglés.

La normatividad internacional contable, reformas de las leyes tributarias, el sistema de

seguridad social y el uso de tecnología la gestión moderna, demandan de un profesional del
área contable, cuyo perfil profesional de respuestas pertinentes a los nuevos escenarios que se
están dando, no sólo en el Ecuador, sino que en todo el mundo de hoy.

Tanto la filosofía como la misión institucional, servirán de guía como ejes transversales que se
moverán por todos los componente del plan de estudio, como un compromiso de la universidad.

PERFIL DE INGRESO DEL ESTUDIANTE

El aspirante a ingresar a la Carrera de Licenciatura en Contabilidad Y Auditoría CPA de la
Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil, deberá tener una orientación hacia el trabajo
planeado y organizado, para responder de manera oportuna y eficiente a las necesidades
laborales de las organizaciones, para lo cual deberá reunir lo siguiente:

TITULO
Licenciado (a) en CONTABILIDAD Y AUDITORÍA

OBJETIVO
Contribuir al desarrollo de nuestra provincia y del país, mediante la formación de Licenciados
en Contabilidad y Auditoría, CPA, quienes desarrollarán procesos en el ámbito financiero –
administrativo – contable, a través de la investigación científica y tecnológica, sistematización,
organización, procesamiento, control y evaluación de la información financiera, que requieren
los sectores banca, comercio, industria y servicios, tanto en la organizaciones sociales, públicas
y privadas, certificando la transparencia, eficiencia y confiabilidad en la información oportuna,
vinculando a los diversos actores de la carrera con la colectividad, relevando el sentido de
responsabilidad social.
Accounting and Audit Career

MISSION
The Degree in Accounting and Auditing CPA pursues to form business strategists with a systemic vision of
organizations capable of providing integral solutions for the sustainable development of the country, in a
globalized and competitive economy; with high degrees of moral and ethical principles in the performance of
their functions inspired by the Christian faith of the Catholic Church.

To be a leader in the training of public accountants, with a Bachelor's degree, entrepreneurs and competitors
at the service of a national and international society, efficient, fair and sustainable.

JUSTIFICATION
The Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Auditing CPA., Is part of the academic offer of the Faculty of
Economic and Administrative Sciences of the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil. Similarly, the
enrollment and graduates of that area have been among the highest in the last 5 years. From this situation, the
criterion of saturation of professionals in the area of accounting could be issued, if we limit ourselves only to
that analysis; but if we observe the growth of the services and business sectors, it will be found that the
volumes of information and data constitute a complex management in the financial aspects. In the same way,
accounting systems are part of the automation of decision-making processes. Hence, it requires a professional
accounting with extensive knowledge of computer and accounting and financial management; as well as, at
least, the command of the terminology and the technical language of the area, in the English language.
The international accounting regulations, tax law reforms, the social security system and the use of modern
management technology demand a professional accountant, whose professional profile of relevant answers to
the new scenarios that are taking place, not only in Ecuador, but throughout the world today.
Both the philosophy and the institutional mission, will serve as a guide as transversal axes that will move
through all the components of the curriculum, as a commitment of the university.

 OBJECTIVE
Contribute to the development of our province and the country, through the training of Graduates in
Accounting and Auditing, CPA, who will develop processes in the financial - administrative - accounting,
through scientific and technological research, systematization, organization, processing, control and
evaluation of financial information, which the banking, commerce, industry and services sectors require, both
in social, public and private organizations, certifying transparency, efficiency and reliability in timely
information, linking the various actors in the career with the community, relieving the sense of social
responsibility.
