Eligibility : Open to all LGUs, clubs, schools, and individual entry.
Age of Reckoning : First day of competition
Registration Fee : P400.00 per swimmer
Must be paid by team on or before the start of competition
Entrance Fee : Only registered swimmer and one parent/chaperon are free on Resort
Entrance

Awards :
Medals, Gold, Silver, Bronze will be awarded to the top 3 finishers boys and girls to
their respective age groups.
Trophies for the Most Valuable Swimmer for each Age Category
Trophy for Team Champion (The host team is not included in the group ranking)

1. General Rules:

1.1 The 2ND TIMPUPO SPORTS FESTIVAL AGE GROUP SWIMMING COMPETITION shall
be conducted under the Rules and By-Laws of FINA as prescribed. The One-start rule
shall apply.
1.2 Entry fee is Four Hundred Pesos (P 400.00) per swimmer who may swim 10 events
during the Competition.
1.3 For 1500 Free, 800 free, 400 free and 400IM events, a maximum of 2 swimmers per
team is allowed.
1.4 Payment, must be consolidated, and submitted on or before the start of the
competition.
1.5 Protests
1.5.1 Protests are possible
1.5.1.1 If the rules and regulations for the conduct of the competition are
not observed,
1.5.1.2 If other conditions endanger the competition and/or competitors, or
1.5.1.3 Against decisions of the Referee; however no protests shall be
allowed against decisions of fact.
1.5.2 Protests must be submitted:
 1.5.2.1 To the Referee;
1.5.2.2 In writing;
1.5.2.3 By the Team Coach only;
1.5.2.4 Together with a deposit of P 1,000.00; and
1.5.2.5 Within 30 minutes following the conclusion of the respective event.
If conditions causing a potential protest are noted prior to the competition, a
protest must be lodged before the signal to start is given.

1.5.3 All protests shall be considered by the Referee. If he rejects the protest, he
must state the reason for his decision. The Team Coach may then appeal the
rejection to the Jury of Appeals whose decision shall be final.
1.5.4 If the protest is rejected, the deposit will be forfeited to the organizer of the
competition. If a protest is upheld, the deposit will be returned.
1.6 Scratches
1.6.1 Swimmers that are scratched by their coach or did not show in an event at the
day of competition will not be permitted to swim in subsequent events in that
session.
1.6.2 The scratched or did not show swimmer/s on the day of the competition will
only be allowed to swim upon submission of a valid medical certificate.
1.7 Where a competitor who competed in an event is disqualified for any reason, the
position he would have held shall be awarded to the competitor who finished next
and all the lower placing swimmers in that event shall be advanced one place. If the
disqualification occurs after the presentation of awards, the awards shall be returned
and given to the appropriate swimmers applying the aforesaid provision.
1.8 Waiver must be filled up by each swimmer and be submitted to the Organizing
Committee before the competition starts.
1.9 While all reasonable precautions will be taken, the Organizing Committee will not be
responsible or in any way liable for any death, disability, personal injury, loss of
property or any other loss howsoever arising from any cause whatsoever at any time
during the course of this competition.

2. Official Entries
3.1 All entries must be submitted in accordance with these Rules and Regulations.
3.2 Each swimmer must have an Individual Entry Form, as per attached.
3.3 Team Coaches shall submit the consolidated entry form for their team, as per attached.
3.4 Late entries will not be processed unless accompanied by a late processing fee of P 400.00
per team/coach, regardless of how many late entries are submitted by a coach/team.
3.5 Entries must be submitted by 10:00 PM on August 5, 2018, you may send to:

3. Warm Up

4.1 The pools will be open for swimmers’ warm-ups one hour before each session of competition.
4.2 Use of swim paddles during warm-ups is prohibited.
4.3 Specific Lanes will be designated for General warm-ups and/or sprint and pace training.
4.4 Swimmers must clear the pool 10 minutes before the start of the meet.
4.5 Swimmers that do not feel well, are to refrain from competing.
