Opening Prayer
All praise to You, Lord Jesus,
Lover of children:
Bless our family,
And help us to lead our children to You.
Give us light and strength,
And courage when our task is difficult.
Let Your Spirit fill us with love and peace,
So that we may help our children to love You.
All glory and praise are Yours, Lord Jesus,
For ever and ever.

 Objectives
Main Objective:
1. For the parents to have a better understanding of the
mission and vision of CFC Youth for Christ
2. To be informed of the dynamics and activities following the
camp.
 What is Youth For Christ (YFC)?

CFC Youth for Christ (YFC) is a family ministry of Couples for

Christ (CFC), a Catholic charismatic community and family life
movement. It owes its existence, identity, mission and vision
to CFC as it exists as a partner in evangelizing the young.
● The Couples for Christ (CFC) is an international
Catholic lay ecclesial movement whose goal is
to renew and strengthen Christian values. It is
one of 122 International Associations of the
Faithful. The organization is affiliated with the
Vatican recognition from the Pontifical Council
for the Laity. It is led by an International
Council, which operates in the Philippines
under the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the
Philippines and can report directly to the
Vatican. The community is made up of family
ministries, social arms, and a pro-life ministry.
 Brief History:
● 1981, Couples For Christ was established in
Manila with 16 couples.
● In 1993, CFC established its family ministries.
This has provided a "womb-to-tomb" renewal
ministry, where persons are evangelized at the
youngest age and sustained as they grow
through the different stages and states of life.
CFC Kids for Christ, CFC Youth for Christ, CFC
Singles for Christ, CFC Handmaids of the Lord,
and CFC Servants of the Lord provide a
support environment for every member of the
family.

Mission
We are Couples for Christ. We are committed to live in
God’s righteousness and holiness, evangelizing
people through a life of love and service; we shall work
for the renewal of families that will serve God and build
generations of Christian leaders; and, we shall pursue
Total Christian Liberation through social justice,
respect for life, and work with the poor.

 The YFC Youth Camp
The Youth camp should:
1. Introduce Jesus to the participants.
2. Encourage the participants to invite Jesus into their lives.
3. Invite the participants into the support environment of YFC.
4. Introduce the Covenant of YFC to the participants.

 Closing Prayer
O God the Father of mankind, who hast given unto me
these my children, and committed them to my charge to
bring them up for Thee, and to prepare them for eternal
life: help me with Thy heavenly grace, that I may be able to
fulfil this most sacred duty and stewardship.
Teach me both what to give and what to withhold; when to
reprove and when to forbear; make me to be gentle, yet
firm; considerate and watchful; and deliver me equally
from the weakness of indulgence, and the excess of
severity; and grant that, both by word and example, I may
be careful to lead them in the ways of wisdom and true
piety, so that at last I may, with them, be admitted to the
unspeakable joys of our true home in heaven, in the
company of the blessed Angels and Saints. Amen.
