Hi Dave (…and Jamison!)—

I really appreciate you following up! While I do not have any grants on my radar right now, I will
absolutely reach out when the next one comes by. The fiscal year will be cycling over at the end
of next month, so we can anticipate that state and local agencies will begin releasing new
Request for Proposals (RFPs) for various programs and initiatives. Jamison—I would love for you
to accompany me to a pre-bidders conference. A pre-bidders conference is usually a time in
which agencies who are interested in pursuing a funding opportunity get together with the state
or local agency that issued the RFP. We then go over any questions related to what the agency’s
expectations are prior to writing and submitting their grant. I recall you stating you’d previously
taken a grant writing class, so you have a solid foundation! I am still learning myself, so this
could be a really great opportunity for us to learn from each other.

Pat will be out of the office next week, but I will follow up with her when she returns to
determine what other things we can work in. Please do not hesitate to reach out—ever—if you
have any questions or would like to try something!

I hope all is going well. I wanted to reach out to you with Ms. Parker on the email concerning our
conversation on Tuesday. You stated there is a possibility for Ms. Parker to shadow you on a
couple different segments of the grant writing opportunity. Please keep me posted. I personally
appreciate you extending yourself and obviously if at anytime I can return the favor please let
me know. I just figured this letter would serve to comfort Ms. Parker in reaching out to you in the
near future. Her internship with me begins next week so I am trying to plan it out so she gets the
best internship possible.
