Performance Characteristics
Permeability: PMT RM liquid pozzolanic admixture enhances the hydration process of Portland
cement, also blended cements, dramatically reducing void and capillary structures within the
hardened paste. The result is lower permeability and as a result greater resistance to moisture
and contaminant entry or transmission.

PMT1 RM demonstrates zero loss at 300 As with pozzolans, PMT1 RM develops
cycles for an effective 75-year lifecycle; concrete strength over an extended period;

Compressive Strength: As a pozzolan, PMT1 RM admixture reacts chemically within the
cementitious matrix to increase the amount of calcium silicate hydrate (CSH gel) that is
formed. The CSH gel is the strongest and most stable binding component of the cementi-
tous mixture in the hardened state. Additional CSH gel increases strength overall and plays
a part in decreased permeability.
Permeability: PMT1 RM as tested exhibits a permeability of between 0.2 to 5.0 millidarcies
for typical project concrete strengths of 4-5,000 psi.

Guidelines for Use
Dosage: PMT RM is recommended for use in concrete
and wet shotcrete applications. Addition rate is in relation-
ship to total cementicious content (portland cement or
blended cement and any pozzolans) and dosed at a rate
of 6 to 24 oz. per CWT.
Dispensing and Mixing: For concrete or wet shotcrete,
PMT RM admixture is batched at the concrete production
plant in a similar manner to other admixtures and by
automated dispensing systems. Batching may be in a cen-
tral or truck mixer. Follow standard procedures outlined in
ASTM C94/C94M, Standard Specification for Ready-Mixed
Concrete.
Product Notes
Non Chloride, Non-Corrosive: PMT RM admixture will
not initiate or promote corrosion of reinforcing or prestress-
ing steel embedded in concrete or of galvanized steel floor
and roof systems. No calcium chloride or other chloride-
based ingredients are used in the manufacture of this ad-
mixture.
Compatibility: PMT RM admixture can be used with Port-
land cements approved under ASTM, AASHTO or CRD
specifications. It is compatible with most concrete admix-
tures, including most Enhance ICD products.
Handling and Storage
PMT RM admixture stores, handles and dispenses similar
to most liquid admixtures. Contact Enhance ICD for
Information regarding bulk admixture storage. PMT RM
admixture requires no special dispensing equipment.
Shelf Life: PMT RM has a minimum shelf life of 36 months.
Depending on storage conditions, shelf life may be greater.
Contact you Enhance ICD representative regarding suitability
for use and dosage recommendations if shelf life has
exceeded 36 months.
