"Ordering method" In principle, when a software package is requested by an authorised MAN workshop a distinction is made between two ordering methods:

Software package can be ordered by the MAN workshop online and independently without the involvement of the central department using the MAN-cats service computer. When using the fall-

Comments on the procedure for applying for MAN Genuine Software®:

When making a request for vehicle parameter setting, the workshop specifies whether a software package should be retrofitted (+), removed (-) or exchanged (0):
(+) for retrofit
(-) for removal
(0) for the exchange of an already installed component with a different component.
The symbols in question (+), (-) and (0) are to be entered in brackets in front of each item number, to enable them to be clearly identified.
Example: (+) 81258907198 means "retrofit of fog lights requested".
This procedure enables an order to be processed in a number of different languages, as only the item numbers are used for identification purposes.

Procedure for conversions that are not listed in the selection and ordering catalogue for MAN Genuine Software®:

If there is currently no suitable item number available for selection for the conversion measure you require, as before a clear description must be provided in German or English on the application for vehicle parameter setting.
