Screen-free Challenge Week

Screen has become the single most dominant influence in our lives and it plays
a crucial role in teaching us morals and behaviour. The only thing kids do
more than watch, is sleep. During this summer we suggest that Muslim
families spend a week doing this challenge. The aim is to divert focus on
productive activities like reading, creativity, productivity, and healthy physical
activities.

Summer Discovery Project

Summer is an opportunity to come closer to nature. Make it a means to come
closer to Allah’s creation. Plan to make a project related to nature, related to
the wisdom and beauty of Allah’s creation.

Summer Reading
Reading the best tool for mental development. Spend this time off school
learning about Islam and building Islamic talents.

Summer Fundraising
Make your own donation box to raise funds for the needy or any Islamic
organization (mosque, school etc). Start fundraising by donating from your
own pocket first. Keep the box handy in your house so that every member of
the family can see it. Organize a yard sale with your old things to raise funds or
approach visitors, get creative! You can donate your collection to those needy
around the world.

Putting a Little Islam in my Summer has
been designed as an educational program
for Muslim children during summer
vacation. The aim fo this program is to
encourage them to be more involved in
Islamic learning and activities.

Summer gives parents, summer camps and schools

a unique chance to come closer to their
student/children. That is why we have chosen this time for these types
of activities.

Putting a Little Islam in my Summer suggests every participant be

involved in:
- Planned Islamic studies during summer vacation

- Creative Islamic projects

Muslim Kids’ Summer Diary has been designed to help children plan
their vacation in an Islamic way , to keep track of all the activities they
are during.

We hope that parents, teachers and guardians will help their children
in participating in this program.

At the end of summer vacation, reward your kids’ efforts by giving them
a gift.
