name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to
you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the
world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Proverbs 3:5-6

in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Psalm 34:17-18

their troubles. 18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who
are crushed in spirit.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Chapter

9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect
in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so
that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in
weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am
weak, then I am strong.

1 Peter 4:7-8

Chapter

7 The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you
may pray. 8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a
multitude of sins.

1 Peter 4:12-13

Chapter

12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to
test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice
inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be
overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Chapter

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of
compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so
that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive
from God.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Chapter

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet
inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary
troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So
we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is
temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Hebrews 12:1-3

Chapter

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us

throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us
run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the
pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross,
scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3
Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not
grow weary and lose heart.

Isaiah 40:28-31

Chapter
28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the
Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his
understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and
increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and
young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their
strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

1 Peter 5:7-10

Chapter

7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 8 Be alert and of sober
mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone
to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the
family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of
sufferings. 10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in
Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make
you strong, firm and steadfast.

Romans 5:3-18

Chapter

3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering
produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5
And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out
into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. 6 You see, at
just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7
Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person
someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us
in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since we have now been
justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath
through him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him
through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we
be saved through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through
our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. 12
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin,
and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned— 13 To be sure,
sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not charged against
anyone’s account where there is no law. 14 Nevertheless, death reigned from
the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by
breaking a command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come. 15
But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one
man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of
the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! 16 Nor can the gift of God be
compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and
brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought
justification. 17 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through
that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant
provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one
man, Jesus Christ! 18 Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in
condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification
and life for all people.
Maintaining Faith During Hard Times

If you’re experiencing a time of turbulence in your life, this post is for you. Psalm
46:1 tells us, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever–present help in trouble.”
Regardless of your circumstances, God is with you and for you. Our God is not
far off.

This doesn’t necessarily mean our troubles will disappear, but it does mean that
God will walk with us through our trials. Like a good friend, God promises to stick
with us and provide encouragement, hope and a reminder of our potential
through and beyond our current situation. In order to actually trust God we
must first understand the nature of God and how he often works in our lives. God
is sovereign over all, and his love and wisdom exceed anything we’re fully
capable of grasping. Consider Romans 8:35-39,

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or
persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? . . . No, in all these
things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am
convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the
present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything
else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in
Christ Jesus our Lord.

This passage makes it clear that God is all-powerful, nothing can hinder his love
for us, and his desire that we live victoriously in our lives. It’s important to
remember, however, that God’s ways are higher than our ways(Isaiah 55:8-9).
This often means that his timetable is different than our timetable. Even our
answered prayers may look different than how we expect or hope they will look.
Regardless of when or how God sees us through our hardships, we must trust that
he is the one that ultimately knows what’s best for us. Don’t allow

fear to drive you away from God-cling to him in your trial!

Here are a few practices that will help you maintain your faith in God’s presence
and goodness.

Take a moment to consider everything you’re fearful of right now. Then

compare those things to God’s truth. How do they line up? Perhaps you’re
afraid that you aren’t good enough, but God’s Word says you are fearfully and
wonderfully made (Psalm 139:13). God’s truth says that his grace is sufficient and
his “strength is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians12:8-10). Responding to
negative self-talk with God’s Word is powerful. It will help you look at life through
God’s eyes.

Surround yourself with believers who will build you up and encourage you to
fight the good fight. Sometimes all we need is a believing friend to spur us on in
trusting God when the way forward may not seem clear. Allow your friends to
be there with you and minister to you!

Ask God to continue transforming your thoughts and to help you maintain a
right understanding of what’s true of you and your life.
Finding Faith in Difficult Times
We all face adverse events and situations in life. You might be going through a
season of hardships in your life at this time. This could be job loss, finances,
sickness, loss of a loved one, relationship with a troubled child, or even divorce.
But whatever the challenge is, you can have the determination to see things
through as you find your strength in God.
As the song in the video below says, your life might be hard but God is good. In
fact, you can move from feeling like a victim of your circumstances to find
purpose through your faith. I have found the Apostle Paul's words in Romans 8:
35, 37 to be very encouraging in times of adversity:
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or
persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? ... No, in all these things
we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."

Allow these verses to resonate in your heart, and know that no matter how bad
the situation you are facing is, you can experience God's love, and nothing can
separate you from it. You have reason to shout even in your dark place, for you
have the love of God, and his Word that all things are possible with him.
Consider too, that you do not have to limp through this difficult time, but you
can have the attitude of a victor. In fact, the Apostle Paul says you are "more
than conqueror" Why is this so? Because Jesus Christ won the victory already on
your behalf, and all you need to do now is to accept it by faith.
Take this journey for the next seven days, and allow the Lord to speak to your
heart, and change you, through these devotions.

Life Is Hard, But God Is Good!-PAM THUM

GRACE-LAURA STORY

VERSE 1:

My heart is so proud. My mind is so unfocused.

I see the things You do through me as great things I have done.

And now You gently break me, then lovingly You take me

And hold me as my father and mold me as my maker.

CHORUS:

I ask You: "How many times will You pick me up,

When I keep on letting You down?

And each time I will fall short of Your glory,

How far will forgiveness abound?"

And You answer: " My child, I love you.

And as long as you're seeking My face,

You'll walk in the power of My daily sufficient grace."

VERSE 2:

At times I may grow weak and feel a bit discouraged,

Knowing that someone, somewhere, could do a better job.

For who am I to serve You? I know I don't deserve You.

And that's the part that burns in my heart and keeps me hanging on.

CODA:

You are so patient with me, Lord.

BRIDGE:

As I walk with You, I'm learning what Your grace really means.

The price that I could never pay was paid at Calvary.

So, instead of trying to repay You, I'm learning to simply obey You

By giving up my life to You For all that You've given to me.

IKAW NA ANG BAHALA SA AMIN AMA!

LYRICS:

Ang ganda ng buhay, mahal kong Diyos

Sana papuri sa 'Yoy tunay na malubos

Nais kong mabuhay sa mundong kay ganda

Na dinadakila'y pangalan Mo tuwina

[Chorus]

Ikaw na ang bahala sa amin Ama

At sa mga araw na darating pa

Dalangin namin ay pagpalain Mo sana

Ikaw ang pag-ibig namin at pag-asa

Ikaw na ang bahala sa amin Ama

At sa mga araw na darating pa

Tanging sa 'Yo lamang hihingi ng awa

Sa bawat sandali Ikaw na ang bahala

Makulay ang buhay, mahal kong Diyos

Sana pagmamahal Mo sa mundo'y bumuhos

Salamat sa pag-ibig na nasa puso ko

Salamat sa buhay na galing sa Iyo

(Repeat Chorus 2x)

Sa bawat sandali Ikaw na ang bahala...
