Re: People of the Philippines vs. Alexis M. Pagatpatan

Crim Case No. 15653-15

Dear Ma’am:

Greetings!

I am writing in behalf of my client, SHARON GRACE PAGATPATAN, the

complainant
in the above-entitled case, and filed before Branch 15 of the Regional Trial Court
First Judicial Region, Laoag City.

Inasmuch as Section 5 of Rule 110 of the 2000 Rules on Criminal

Procedure mandate that all criminal actions commenced by a complainant or
information shall be prosecuted under he direction and control of the prosecutor,
the same rule authorizes a private prosecutor to prosecute the case, subject to
the approval of the court.

In this regard, I humbly request your Honorable Office, if you deemed it fit
and proper, to authorize in writing the undersigned to prosecute the case, even
in the absence of a public prosecutor pursuant to Section 5 of Rule 110 of the
2000 Rules on Criminal Procedure.

Thank you very much!

Very Truly Yours,

ATTY. MARSHALL ELLIS M. DIEGO
