Starbucks Coffee House chain is world famous. It has thousands of coffee stores in more than 50
countries. Starbucks wants to be the most recognized and respected brand in the world.

Timeline

1971 – The first branch of Starbucks opens in Seattle. It isn´t a coffee bar, but it supplies coffee beans to
restaurants and cafes.

1982 – Howard Schultz joins the company as the marketing director.

1983 – Howard travels to Italy. He is impressed with the popularity of espresso bars in Milan. He sees
potential to develop a similar coffeehouse culture in Seattle.

1985 – Howard starts the Il Giornale company with coffee bars that serve espresso coffee made from
Starbucks´coffee beans.

1987 – The name of the company is changed from Il Giornale to Starbucks Corporation.

1991 – A total of 116 stores are opened.

2003 – Starbucks opens South American stores in Peru and Chile.

2006 – The first Brazilian Starbucks store opens in Sao Paulo.

2012 –There are over 17.000 stores worldwide.

Apple is probably the most well-known company when it comes to the making of technology.
Apple Computer first came to be a company in 1976 when Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak released the Apple
I and the company was located in Cupertino, California.

Apple logo – is the most brilliant inventions of the company.

The logo was created under the influence of the famous Isaac Newton picnic.

The first Apple logo was created in 1976, where it features the famous scene of how Sir Isaac Newton
discovered gravity – sitting beneath an apple tree.

In the same year, the logo was switched to one of a shape of an apple with rainbow stripes.

It was then further simplified into a silhouetted apple image consisting of only black.

Since the year 2000, the apple logo is a monochrome apple.
