B. ESSAY: How does this product or artifact express the Filipino concept of Art?

The “Good Harvest”, made by the Tagbanua tribe of the Southern part of Palawan, shows that
there are still many who holds superstitious beliefs whether it may be to grant them good fortune, rich
harvest, or simply rain to quench the dry land. The product also shows that our concept of art is mainly
ancestral. The style and material used for figures, figurines, or artifacts that were found or passed down
from our forefathers showed that in one way, we still have a strong sense for traditional ways of
creating such art without foreign influences significantly changing our concept of art.
