El control químico de malezas es una práctica muy común y bien difundida en casi toda el
área agrícola de nuestro país, pero esto no significa que siempre apliquemos
correctamente y que la eficiencia sea buena.
Conceptos para evaluar el trabajo de aplicación de herbicidas

Resulta primordial saber y definir qué tipo de herbicida vamos a aplicar, no debemos
buscar los mismos resultados si el modo de acción del fitosanitario es de contacto o
sistémico. En el primer caso el resultado biológico será mejor cuanto mayor sea el área
foliar de las malezas mojado, en cambio en el caso del sistémico será suficiente una
menor cobertura que puede ser lograda con gotas de mayor diámetro.
Parámetros
Los valores para evaluar una pulverización son varios, y deben ser estudiados todos en
conjunto, ninguno de ellos por si solo define el éxito del trabajo.
Es bien conocido el Número de gotas por m2; es un parámetro importante y más aún
cuando hablamos de herbicidas de contacto.
El Diámetro de las gotas también es conocido, pero vale aquí pensar y discutir de qué
valor estamos hablando y qué significado tiene. No es bueno quedarnos solo con un valor
de referencia como el diámetro promedio, ya no nos brinda información completa. El
promedio puede ser un buen valor, por ej 300 micrones, pero no sabemos cuál es el rango
de tamaños y cuál es el tamaño de gota generado por un alto porcentaje del volumen de
campo.
Tenemos entonces otras herramientas para analizar esto, por un lado está el DVM
(Diámetro Volumétrico Mediano). Se trata de aquél tamaño de gota que divide el caudal
aplicado en partes iguales. Dicho de otro modo, todas las gotas de diámetro menor al
DVM, sumadas, representan la mitad del volumen de campo (por eso se llama
volumétrico) o caldo aplicado y, del mismo modo todas las gotas de tamaño mayor a este
parámetro suman el otro 50 % del volumen de campo. De esta manera podemos saber
cómo se reparte todo el caudal de campo aplicado. Por ejemplo si el DVM es 200
micrones, quiere decir que la mitad de la aplicación tiene alto riesgo de perderse por
deriva, según algunos especialistas.
La amplitud de la muestra de gotas puede también ser estudiada si utilizamos otros

valores de DV, estos son DV01 y DV09 (10% y 90%).
El DNM (Diámetro Numérico Mediano) si seguimos el razonamiento anterior, ahora

decimos que la mitad de las gotas, en cantidad o número de gotas, tienen un diámetro
menor que el DNM y la otra mitad uno mayor.
Estudio
Todos estos resultados son determinados a partir del uso de las conocidas tarjetas
hidrosensibles ubicadas estratégicamente en el campo y un software específico que lea el
escaneo de las mismas y luego haga el recuento por la diferencia de color, claro está.
La ubicación debe ser adecuada a la localización de la maleza, es decir, según la altura y

desarrollo de la misma se deberán ubicar las tarjetas para realizar el monitoreo como si
fueran las hojas de aquellas.

El enfoque principal del presente libro es sobre los métodos no químicos de manejo de
malezas, pero en muchas situaciones los herbicidas ofrecen los medios más efectivos

En los países industrializados los herbicidas se aplican sobre el 85-100% de todos los
cultivos principales. Así, para el Reino Unido Green et al. (1987) estiman que una libra
esterlina gastada en pesticidas genera un ingreso adicional de cinco libras. Más
recientemente, este margen se habría reducido con la reducción de los subsidios de la
Comunidad Europea (CE), pero la producción agrícola en los países industrializados
continuará dependiendo grandemente del uso de los herbicidas.
En países menos desarrollados, el precio relativamente bajo obtenido por los

productos agrícolas en los mercados mundiales y el bajo costo de la mano de obra
reducen los beneficios económicos del uso de herbicidas. Finney (1988) predijo que la
necesidad de la intensificación de la agricultura, como consecuencia del alto nivel de
crecimiento de la población, aumentará el uso de herbicidas. El también indicó que en
los EE.UU. los precios de los herbicidas cayeron entre 1985-1987 debido
principalmente al incremento de la competencia por la distribución del mercado y al
vencimiento de patentes. La India y la República Popular de China están incluídos
entre los primeros 12 países por ventas de herbicidas y ambos países están
fabricando y exportando herbicidas que ya tienen patente vencida. Los precios
reducidos y la producción local estimularán el uso de herbicidas en los países menos
desarrollados.
Usados juiciosamente, dentro de un sistema integrado de manejo de malezas, los

herbicidas son de uso seguro para el agricultor y de riesgo mínimo para el medio
ambiente. Desde nuestro punto de vista, los herbicidas jugarán un papel cada vez más
importante en el manejo de malezas en los países en desarrollo en un futuro
predecible. Las secciones de este libro sobre malezas y cultivos individuales ofrecen
detalles sobre la integración de los herbicidas en los sistemas de producción de los
cultivos. El objetivo de este Capítulo es de apoyar a estas secciones con información
sobre el modo de acción, propiedades, y aplicación de los herbicidas, que contribuirá a
su uso práctico, seguro y efectivo
Resumen
La investigación se realizó en la Empresa Agrícola La Colmena S.A., Municipio de

Pailón, departamento de Santa Cruz, durante la campaña agrícola verano 2014 -
2015.
Se evaluó el efecto de las aplicaciones de diferentes herbicidas para el control de

malezas en pre siembra directa de soya (barbecho). Se realizó tres aplicaciones
secuenciales de los herbicidas y se realizó el análisis estadístico "T" Student, para
realizar la comparación de dos tratamientos (TNA - T0). La evaluación se realizó
mediante la "escala visual", después de cada aplicación en porcentaje.
De acuerdo a los resultados: En la primera aplicación secuencial ambos

tratamientos demostraron ser iguales, grado de control "ninguno o pobre", en la
segunda aplicación los dos tratamientos lograron un grado de control "suficiente", y
en la tercera aplicación el tratamiento TNA logró un grado de control "excelente",
por lo que se recomienda usar el tratamiento TNA para el control de malezas en pre
siembre directa de soya

El cianuro es un anión monovalente de representación CN-. El mismo contiene el grupo
cianuro (:C≡N:), que consiste de un átomo de carbono con un enlace triple con un átomo
de nitrógeno.
Los compuestos orgánicos que poseen grupo funcional -C≡N adosado a un
residuo alquilo son denominados nitrilos según la nomenclatura IUPAC. Se puede
encontrar como cianuro de hidrógeno (o ácido cianhídrico) ya sea en fase acuosa
(HCN(ac)) o como parte de moléculas de gas (HCN(g)), formando compuestos como
el cloruro de cianógeno (CNCl) y el bromuro de cianógeno (CNBr), o encontrarse en

potasio (KCN). Es utilizado en el ámbito industrial, minero, en la galvanoplastia de

Xantato
Los xantatos son las sales y ésteres del ácido xántico, ROC(=S)SH u O-ésteres del ácido
ditiocarbónico, donde R es cualquier radical orgánico. Muchos xantatos tienen coloración
amarillenta, de donde se deriva su nombre: se deriva del griego ξανθός
[xantʰós] xanthous significa amarillo y del náhuatl xanto que significa santo. IUPAC no
recomienda el uso de este término, no confundir con xantolo.
Los xantatos se pueden producir a partir del disulfuro de carbono, y se usan como agentes
de flotación en el procesado de minerales. Son intermediarios en en la eliminación de
Chugaev. Los xantatos también se usan para controlar la polimerización de radicales
durante el proceso RAFT, también llamado MADIX.
Fungicida

Los fungicidas son sustancias tóxicas que se emplean para impedir el crecimiento o
eliminar los hongos y mohos perjudiciales para las plantas, los animales o el hombre. Todo
fungicida, por más eficaz que sea, si se utiliza en exceso puede causar daños fisiológicos
a la planta.
Como todo producto químico, debe ser utilizado con precaución para evitar cualquier daño
a la salud humana, a los animales y al medio ambiente.
Se aplican mediante rociado, pulverizado, por revestimiento, o por fumigación de locales.
Para tratamientos de otros materiales como madera, papel, cuero...se aplican mediante
impregnación o tinción. Otra forma de administrarse, es a modo
de medicamentos (ingeridos o aplicados), en tratamiento de enfermedades humanas o
animales.
La mayoría de los fungicidas de uso agrícola se fumigan o espolvorean sobre
las semillas, hojas o frutas para impedir la propagación de la roya, el tizón, los mohos,
el mildiu, oidio, botrytis... (enfermedades de las plantas).
Existen tres enfermedades graves causadas por hongos que hoy pueden ser combatidas
por medio de fungicidas, son la roya del trigo, el tizón del maíz y la enfermedad de la
patata, que causó la hambruna de la década de 1840 en Irlanda.
Los fungicidas se pueden clasificar según su modo de acción, su composición y su campo
de aplicación.
Tipos de fungicidas según su modo de acción[editar]

 Fungicidas protectores: también llamados de contacto, se aplican antes de que
lleguen las esporas de los hongos. Actúan solamente en la superficie de la planta
donde el fungicida ha sido depositado y evitan que los esporangios germinen y
penetren las células. Por ello se recomienda cubrir la mayor parte de la planta con este
tipo de productos.
 Fungicidas erradicadores: también llamados sistémicos o sistemáticos, se aplican
para el tratamiento de la planta ya enferma por hongos. Son absorbidos a través
del follaje o de las raíces y se movilizan por toda la planta. Otros productos sistémicos,
conocidos como fungicidas translaminares tienen la capacidad de moverse del lado
superior de la hoja al inferior, pero no de hoja a hoja. Los fungicidas sistémicos afectan
varias etapas de la vida del hongo.

Application
Flotation collector Florrea PIBX(Potassium isobutyl xanthate) is also a stronger collector in the flotation of various
nonferrous metallic sulfide ores.
It is used in mining industry for mineral processing process as flotation collector which is a kind of mining reagent.
Potassium isobutyl xanthate(PIBX) is mainly used in the flotation of sulfide ore of copper, lead, zinc etc.
Florrea PIBX is especially effective in the flotation of copper ores and of pyrites in natural circuits.
Background of xanthate
Xanthate collectors were introduced in 1925, and are still widely used, especially for easy-to-treat ores where
selectivity (especially against iron sulfides and penalty elements) is not an issue. They are usually supplied in the
powder or pellet forms and are readily soluble in water, and could be made up to any strength for convenience in
dosing. Xanthate solutions have relatively poor long-term stability and, therefore, are supplied in liquid form only
when the manufacturing plant is in close proximity to the use location.
Xanthates are available in a range of carbon chain lengths, generally from C2 to C5. The collecting power generally
increases with increase in chain length, but the selectivity decreases. .The activity of the xanthatesincreases with
increasing chain length of the alky group R; the selectivity decreases in accordance with increased chain length.
Xanthates are often used in combination with other reagents such as dithiophosphates or thionocarbamates, often
added to the scavenger circuit to improve the total recovery. Xanthates undergo hydrolysis in the acid pH range,and
are preferred for flotation in alkaline pulp streams. Powder and Pellet form are available withPurity of 85% and 90%

Xanthates can be obtained by reacting an alcohol with carbon disulphide and an alkali such as sodium hydroxide or
potassium hydroxide. The alcohols employed are not unique. They can form ethyl, butyl (isobutyl, normal butyl,
secondary butyl), propyl (isopropyl, normal propyl) and amyl (isoamyl, normal amyl, secondary amyl) xanthates, in
dry forms, such as powder, granules, pellets, tablets or flakes. Xanthate is the common name for chemical reagents
used in the flotation of base and precious metals, which is the standard method for separating valuable minerals,
such as gold, copper, lead or zinc minerals, from non-valuable minerals, such as limestone or quartz (gangue).
To extract values, conditioned ores are mixed in a solution of water and xanthates and then agitated in flotation
cells. Xanthates may be added in liquid or solid form. The xanthates cause the minerals to attach themselves to air
bubbles and then float to the top of the flotation cell. As values reach the surface, the bubbles form a froth that
overflows into a trough for collection. The residual may be re-used for additional recovery or removed for disposal.
Most of the xanthate is consumed in the process. Several flotation processes are required for different ores. Since
each ore is unique, there is no standard flotation procedure and no standard grade or type of xanthate used to
extract specific values. Each producer has its own grades for xanthate composition, including purity, which is stated
as a minimum percentage up to 100 per cent, and moisture. Four types of xanthates (ethyl, butyl, propyl and amyl)
are produced in various combinations with sodium and potassium, which are stabilizers in the chemical formula.
