PROCEDURE DETAILS:

Pre checks:
1) No concern PTW is pending.
2) Fire fighting for lube oil system must be charged condition.
3) Ensure MOT level is adequate and no “tank level low” alarm persisting.
4) Ensure one filter is in service and properly vented out.
5) AOP1, AOP2, EOP, AC JOP, DC JOP power supply breakers are normalized.
6) Discharge MIVs for AC JOP and DC JOP should be full open.
7) Ensure Vapour Extractor Fans power supply normalized.
8) Ensure all local gauges & transmitters are in service and charged.
9) All local push button is released.
Turbine Oil Cooler charging start-up activities:(oil side)
1) Ensure Cooler Drain to LOT in closed position.
2) Cooler vent in open position.
3) Open equalizing valve and wait until oil start coming from vent.
4) When oil is continuous then close the vent.
5) Then rotate the three way valve to take the cooler in service.
6) Close the equalizing valve.
7) Check for any oil leakage in the system.
8) Check the LOT.

Turbine Oil Cooler charging start-up activities: (water side)

1) Ensure Cooler Drain in closed position.
2) Cooler vent in open position.
3) Open the equalizing valve of the Cooler I/L & O/L valve.
4) When water comes from the vent then close it.
5) Open Cooler O/L valve then Cooler I/L valve
6) Ensure there are no any leakages in the system.

Turbine oil cooler draining procedure:

1) Open the drain and vents (oil side) of the cooler.
2) Continuous monitor the level of the LOT.
3) If LOT level is high transfer the oil to MOT by running LOP.
4) Close the water side I/L and O/L valves.
5) Open the drain and vents of the Cooler (water side).
