PURPOSE: This procedure is used as work instructions for Turbine Lube Oil cooler Charging.
SCOPE: This procedure is applicable to Turbine Lube Oil Cooler System located in JPL 4X600 MW.
RESPONSIBILITY: Turbine Operator, Field /Desk Engineer, Unit Control Engineer & Shift In charge.
SPECIFICATION:
PROCEDURE DETAILS:
Pre checks:
1) No concern PTW is pending.
2) Fire fighting for lube oil system must be charged condition.
3) Ensure MOT level is adequate and no “tank level low” alarm persisting.
4) Ensure one filter is in service and properly vented out.
5) AOP1, AOP2, EOP, AC JOP, DC JOP power supply breakers are normalized.
6) Discharge MIVs for AC JOP and DC JOP should be full open.
7) Ensure Vapour Extractor Fans power supply normalized.
8) Ensure all local gauges & transmitters are in service and charged.
9) All local push button is released.
Turbine Oil Cooler charging start-up activities:(oil side)
1) Ensure Cooler Drain to LOT in closed position.
2) Cooler vent in open position.
3) Open equalizing valve and wait until oil start coming from vent.
4) When oil is continuous then close the vent.
5) Then rotate the three way valve to take the cooler in service.
6) Close the equalizing valve.
7) Check for any oil leakage in the system.
8) Check the LOT.
RECORDS: The records are maintained in field log book and in CCR log book .
