desert, far from civilization. However, out of nowhere a little boy the narrator calls "the little prince" appears.

suddenly began to grow on the surface of the asteroid some time. Prince explains that cares for and protects your
rose with a screen and a glass dome and although I was delighted with it, suddenly began to feel he was taking
advantage of him. Thus, the prince decided to leave his planet and explore the rest of the universe. Although the
Rose apologized for his vanity and both were reconciled, this encouraged him to go ahead with the trip and the
prince obeyed.

Since then, the prince had visited six other planets, he found a king without subjects and later with a vain man that
the most admirable person in your desolate planet, a drunk who drank to forget the shame of being a drunk was
believed, a businessman who claimed to own all the stars. Then he found a lamplighter that turned on and off
every minute lighthouse, and finally came to the planet of a geographer old man was so focused on the theory that
had never really explored the world that both claimed to know.
On Earth, the little prince met a yellow snake who claimed to have the power to return people to where they came
from. Later, he found a flower that told people I had not seen for some years. In his travels, he met a garden full of
roses that made him feel miserable, thinking that his rose was unique in the universe. Sorry, the prince cried until
suddenly appeared a fox who wanted to be tamed and that in turn explained that his rose was really unique and
special because he loved her. The fox also explained that, in a way, the prince had tamed rose and why he felt so
responsible. The prince then took the time to tame the fox, but then had to be separated.

saying that only has to look at the stars and remember his charming laugh, and so all the stars seem to laugh. The
prince then moves away from the narrator, allows the snake bite and falls to the ground without even making
noise. The next morning, the narrator tries to find the body of the prince, but cannot find it.

Critique

The prince is dedicated to pose as main theme the dispute between childhood and adulthood. The book speaks to
us even as dreams are abandoned to the extent that the only thing that grows and becomes important are science
and numbers, no longer worth draw, but we should strive to be the best in arithmetic, grammar or geography, as if
life depended on it, as if that was really live.

Once the prince began his journey through the universe visiting different planets, he finds that he can not
understand because of their pure and innocent child status: adulthood and vices that eventually take over our lives.
Every last chapter presents an instance of reflection, phrases like "only looks good with the heart. What is
essential is invisible to the eye. "He teaches us that friendship can do anything for the simple fact that having
friends, we must be aware also that" we are responsible for what we domesticate "respecting that friendship will
always be durable, or time or distance will be impaired.

In addition it is impossible to feel a strange affection for the character, a mixture of purity, innocence, loyalty,
friendship, idealism.
