Ladies and gentlemen, please rise for the entrance of colors to be rendered by the
380th WIS NROTCU CORPS OF OFFICERS under the command of M/CAPT John
Marco G. Tejada, O1CL.

Please remain standing for the Invocation to be led by MS. MA. BERNADETTE L.
DECEPEDA, CUMLAUDE FROM BACHELOR IN SECONDARY EDUCATION –, to be
followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem to be conducted by MR.
TONY MALIGAYA.

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, I am Hyman Jay H. Blanco and it is
my distinct honor to welcome everyone to the 8TH Commencement
Exercises of Westmead international School with theme “TRANSCENDING
EDUCATIONAL BOUNDERIES IN PURSUIT OF GLOBAL COMPETITIVENESS”.

Westmead international school was founded by the couple Dr. Ernesto M.


De Chavez and Mrs. Iluminada De Chavez, who are both visionaries and
experienced Educationists, with the help and active participation of their
six children who pioneered the collegiate operation of the institution in
2007.

Our founder’s noble desire to contribute a modest share in the vision and
fulfillment of the Filipino dreams has brought us together today. The
dream that drives parents to make immense sacrifices to give their
children a good education and thus, assure them of a stable career and
better future.

Dear graduates, in the years to come and god-willing, the solemn pledge
and commitment of westmead international school to work together with
concerned authorities to build an educational system that gives the
opportunity to all Filipino youth to discover and develop their gifts and
potentials, thus empowering them to become productive and creative
citizens must be your guiding light as you receive your hand earned
diplomas this afternoon. Sa atin pong mga magulang at mga
mangagsisipagtapos, maligayang pagdating at mabuhay po tayong
lahat!!!!

V. PRESENTATION OF CANDIDATES

And now at this point of the program, may i call on the deans of the different
colleges to present the candidates for graduation coming from their respective
departments.
May I call on Prof. Ernesto Carlo L. De Chavez, Dean of COLLEGE OF TOURISM AND
HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT to present the candidates for graduation for the
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN HOTEL AND RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT, AND
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN TOURISM MANAGEMENT

May I call on Dr. Marites D. Manlongat, Dean of SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS,


BUSINESS AND ACCOUNTANCY to present the candidates for graduation for the
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ACCOUNTANCY, BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN BUSINESS
ADMINISTRATION, BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ENTREPRENUERSHIP, AND

At this juncture, may i call on again our President and CEO Dr. Arlene D.

Thank you HON. JUDGE OLAN, mam, for that very meaningful and insightful
message to our graduates. Indeed, your humble contribution to the legal system
and administration of justice and likewise our Government is truly worthy of
emulation. Again, let us give our beloved Hon. Judge Olan, a round of applause.

VIII. Awarding of certificate of Recognition to the guest of Honor and


Commencement Speaker.

And to award the plaque of recognition to our guest of honor and commencement
speaker, may i request Hon. Judge Olan, mam, to grace the center of the stage
with our President and CEO and the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees.

And to read the text, may I call on Atty Sharon D. Aledo.

VIII. DISTRIBUTION OF DIPLOMA

It is said that the quality of a person’s life is in direct proportion to his or her
commitment to excellence, regardless of your chosen field of endeavor.
Graduates the moment you have been waiting for has finally come. The fruit of
your hardwork and discipline will be finally reaped.
You will now be receiving your prize diploma, a symbol of your accomplishment
and achivement.

May i call on our College Registrar, Prof. Rosana De Chavez to read the names of
the graduates of the class of 2018.

May I also request together with Chairperson of Board of Trustees, Mrs.


Iluminada L. De Chavez, and our President and CEO Dr. Arlene D. Castor and HON.
JUDGE MYLA M. VILLAVICENCIO-OLAN and the respective deans of each colleges

IX. PLEDGE OF LOYALTY TO THE ALMA MATER

Dear Graduates, as Westmead International School have opened its doors for you,
our hope is that each one of you graduates will always remember to value the gift
of knowledge and wisdom imparted to you by our beloved Alma Mater.

So, to lead the Class in their pledge of loyalty to their Alma Mater, may I call
on MS. JEANSEN B. BALBACAL, CUM LAUDE from the Bachelor in
Secondary Education, the class of 2018 TOP GRADUATE.

X. Induction of Graduates to the Alumni Association

Thank you very much MS. BALBACAL. Westmead International School has become
our sanctuary and repository of our dreams and hopes of a better future. It was a
place where you created lasting friendships; a place where you had an opportunity
to know the world and yourselves a little better. From today and the days to come,
you will always be a part of the growing Westmead Family.

Now, May i call on ATTY. Sharon D. Aledo, JD, for the Induction of the graduates
to the Westmead Alumni Association.

XI: CLOSING SONGS

A round of applause to our new Westmead Alumni! The closing hour has finally
arrived. Tomorrow, new challenges and opportunities await our graduates that will
further test their mettle as individuals and professionals. As they continue with
their journey, may they look back to this stage in their life with fondness and
pride.

Ladies and gentlemen, the graduates, with honor and pride, to sing the
“WESTMEAD Hymn”. TO BE CONDUCTED BY our very own, the exquisitely

XII. EXIT OF COLORS

And now at this point of the program may I call on the 380th NROTC corps of
officers for the exit of colors. Let us all remain standing.

Another achievement has been fulfilled today, I would like to say thank
you to our guest of honor and speaker, the members of Westmead
Management and Board of Trustees, to my colleagues in the various
Colleges and of course to our parents and dear graduates.

For the Recessional, the Guest Speaker together with the members of the Board
and Administration will exit first, followed by the members of the faculty and staff
then the graduates and finally our dear parents.

To the Class of 2018, our dearest GRADUATES, you now close one era of your life
and will soon embark on the next. This is just the beginning of your true journey as
young professionals. As you walk along the threshold of your alma mater may you
continue to excel, lead, Innovate and serve for the contemporary needs of the
society. And no matter which path you choose, you will always be a westmeadian
by heart.

I wish you good luck, good health and may God offer you heaps of blessings in
