General purpose: To inform

Specific purpose: At the end of my speech the audience will be able to obtain data on main
fatal disease and number of death due to air pollution and observe simple ways to reduce
them.

1. Central Idea: (1 ayat kenyataan/ statement)

Data reveals number of death in South Asia and main fatal disease due to air pollution and 3
simple ways to prevent this.

I. INTRODUCTION (4 objectives)
A. Attention Grabber:
Did you know causes of air pollution? It occurs when any harmful gases, dust,
smoke enters into the atmosphere and makes it difficult for plants, animals,
and humans to survives as the air becomes dirty.

C. Credibility: Who are you to talk about this topic
We recently conducted a research on this topic and we would like to share
some of the information we have gathered.
D. Preview: Central Idea
In today’s speech we will present data on the number of death and main fatal
disease due to air pollution and three ways to reduce this are to implement odd
and even rule, wear protective mask and improve brick kiln.
(Transition: Now, I will provide you the number of deaths and main fatal disease
due to air pollution ).

II BODY
A. Air pollution is becoming worse and can be very harmful to human health.
1. The data illustrates that China recorded the highest number of death
which is 1032833 deaths in the world.
2. The number of death between India and Pakistan have significant
difference which is 561,897 deaths.
a. India recorded about 621,138 deaths while Pakistan only 59,241
deaths.
3. Maldives and Bhutan recorded the lowest number of deaths in South
Asia compared to other country which were 48 and 192 deaths
respectively.
4. Both stroke and ischaemic heart disease shared the same percentage at
36% contributed to main fatal disease.
a) However, stroke recorded the highest number of deaths which
was 1,082,750 but ischaemic heart disease 1,078,800 deaths.
5. The lowest main fatal disease was acute lower respiratory disease.
a) It recorded only 6% with 169,250 number of deaths.
6. The data showed total death due to air pollution nearly 3 million which
was 2,975,400 deaths to be exact.
(Transition: I have presented to you data on data on the number of death and main fatal
disease due to air pollution. Now I will suggest three ways to reduce number of death
because of air pollution).
B. There are 3 easy ways to prevent number of deaths due to air pollution
increasing continuously.
1. According to a website called The Indian Express by Express Web Desk,
there is a new rule implemented by the Delhi Government called the odd
and even rule.
a. This rule proposed that cars with odd number registration
plates can only be used on odd dates and those with even
number registration plates opposite to it.
2. Second, it is advised to wear protective mask on even a personal
respirator.
a. In reference to Pacific Prime, a health insurance company,
wearing a protective mask when commute to work can
significantly lower the exposure to air pollutions and can be
very helpful to those with high chances of health issues cause
by air pollution.

3. Finally, based on The world Bank, an improved brick kilns sponsored

by them can help to diminish air pollution, lessen greenhouse gas
emission and escalate productivity.
(Transition: There you have it ladies and gentlemen. Three ways to curb air
pollution. Now allow me to end my presentation ).

III CONCLUSION
A. Summary: In today’s speech, we presented data on the number of death and
main fatal disease due to air pollution and three ways to prevent this are to
implement odd and even rule, wear protective mask and improve brick kiln.
