1. Define motivation to learn.

Well, motivation is the first thing that we have to have for starding a new
project, in this case education, when we are studying we most be motivated
that is the first step to learn.

………………………………………………………………………………………..

2. What does TARGETT stand for?

It is a method of motivation to learn.

………………………………………………………………………………………..

3. How do tasks affect motivation?

The tasks in a student can be a way for the student to learn more, since the tasks are
to reinforce necessary points for the student to learn significantly. It can not affect
him at all since the tasks are a learning mechanism.

………………………………………………………………………………………..

4. What does it mean for students to “negotiate a task”?

That means that sometimes the students didn’t have time to do the task and
ask to the teacher for an opportunity.

What are the three kinds of task value?

Consolidation tasks. Alludes to recapitulation tasks of what has been learned so far. It seeks
to consolidate learning and facilitate the process of restructuring students' ideas, which have
presumably been modified through development activities.

Reinforcement tasks. Contemplating these types of activities allows us to expressly address

the identified gaps. These tasks come to influence the learning acquired during the
development activities and offer new situations in which to acquire and practice them
properly. The teaching experience sufficiently informs us of the most frequent difficulties
that the students find in order to understand our subject, so in the design of Didactic Units it
is easy to predict where to insist.
Recovery Tasks. They are different from the previous ones because these are addressed to
those students who present difficulties prior to the realization of the didactic unit.

5. Distinguish between bounded and unbounded choices.

An option is to choose between several things so in my opinion a limited

option is when we have more than one option while the option is unlimited
when we are offered different options to choose.

………………………………………………………………………………………..

6. How can recognition undermine motivation and a sense of self-

efficacy?

Recognition is generally treated as a form of reward, we might say that the

existence of recognition undermines the motivation of people to generate
good performance.

………………………………………………………………………………………..

7. What determines whether a goal structure is cooperative, competitive,

or individualistic?

What determines a cooperative, competitive or individualistic

objective structure is the great difference that exists between the
three, the cooperative structure the students form small teams of
works to help each other, while the competitive structure each
student works only rivaled by his Other companions and finally the
individualistic structure is that each student works alone without
looking after the others.

………………………………………………………………………………………..

8. How does evaluative climate affect goal-setting?

The evaluative climate affects in a positive way is very important as it makes

us establish challenges of self-efficacy that helps us reach our educational
goal.
………………………………………………………………………………………..

9. What are some effects of time on motivation?

Time is very important when we talk about motivation because the longer we
last to do what we have in mind can have a daunting effect to let time pass
and demotivate us.

………………………………………………………………………………………..

10. What are some sources of teacher expectations?

Pygmalion in the classroom

 Self-fulfilling prophecy

 Sustaining expectation effect

 Sources of expectations

 IQ tests

 Sex differences

 Reputations

………………………………………………………………………………………..
11. What are the different avenues for communicating teacher
expectations?

I think that the classroom is a good avenue to explain to the class the
expectations that the teacher have.

………………………………………………………………………………………..

12. What are four conditions that must exist in a classroom before any
motivational strategies can be successful?

1-Organized classroom

2-Free from interruptions

3-Safe-to-fail environment

4-Challenging but reasonable work and Authentic, worthwhile tasks

………………………………………………………………………………………..

13. What else can teachers do to motivate students?

Reinforce the student positively: It will be very difficult for them to believe in
themselves if you do not do it before, so you must also show it to them a certain
frequency. Remember that they are the center of your learning, give them the role
they deserve!

Use different methodologies: Since not all students respond in the same way, it is
important to mix the way they work so that everyone can enjoy what they like the
most. Individual activities, teamwork, research, games.

Give feedback to your students: It is very important that you explain to them where
they have been wrong and how they can improve for the next time, or they may feel
lost and lose motivation soon.

14. What are the most commonly used motivational strategies of
beginning teachers?

Conduct assessments on the training process

Allow the exchange of ideas

………………………………………………………………………………………..

15. What can we learn from students about motivation?

I have been able to learn that real classroom learning depends on the
teacher's ability to maintain the enthusiasm and motivation that students
bring in at the beginning of the course, regardless of the level of motivation
that the students bring, it will be changed to better or worse , So that it
happens in the classroom.

………………………………………………………………………………………..

16. What are ways of soliciting information about what motivates your
students?

By asking to the student for the thing or the way they like to study. It is the most
important thing that the student can feel good and motivated.

………………………………………………………………………………………..

17. If several members of the French Club are in your math class, how
could you tie their interests in French with your math content?

I think I can tie them by asking questions like what French lesson we are going
to have next week or also by way of feedback commenting on the past class
what we learned and what we did.

………………………………………………………………………………………..

18. In your discipline, how will you connect content with real world,
authentic tasks?

In my discipline are the languages I connect with knowing that each task
that leaves my students is authentic and entails a very different way to
traditional teaching methods, which is why the assessment of authentic
learning provides students with the opportunity to examine the problem
From different perspectives.
