CQ Number Description Resolution
Issue 1
CQ 553670
AFW does not support nested domain groups.
Workaround
AFW allows you to add several domain groups to a local group, and the local
group can be assigned to an AFW role.
When resolving a user’s role, AFW can check for a user’s local group from a
trusted domain. However, you must add a special registry key.
1 Add the string value SourceDomainForGroups under the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AspenTech\AFW. Set the
string value with the domain names. Multiple domain names are separated
with ";".
2 Restart the AFW Security Client Service.
The account that is running the AFW Security Client Service should be a
domain account that has the necessary permissions.
