Team Rules and Regulations

We understand that there are times in which a cancellation will result, but if prior to the
show, the required lessons are not completed, it will be up to the discretion of the coach
as to whether the rider will be permitted to show.
2. The trainer respectfully requests good communication when scheduling lessons and a
timely notice of cancellation.
3. Every member of the team is expected to participate in some manner in the scheduled
fundraising events and community service projects that will benefit the team throughout
the course of the year.
4. Every member of the team is expected to attend the regularly scheduled team business
meetings.
5. Members are expected to stay the entire length of the show day in order to support other
team members unless prior permission is given.
6. Members shall pay for their own lessons. If for some reason, members fail to fulfill their
financial obligations for lessons or other fees, it may result in disciplinary action and/or
suspension from team activities and/or events.
7. Any member who is disruptive or disrespectful to club members, executive board
officers, our advisory, coach and/or anyone affiliated with IHSA or governing agencies
for any reason shall be subject to disciplinary action.
8. Members of the club are free to leave and disassociate without fear of retribution or
harassment. Any member who wishes to resign from the club shall submit a written
resignation to the coach or an executive board officer.
9. Members shall be respectful of all barn rules. Remember the horses and equipment are
being donated or offered for team use therefore they should be treated and taken care of
with the utmost respect. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action.
10. Showing members and point riders will be designated by the executive board (if not
chosen by the team captain and/or coach). Members of the showing team will be
selected according to attendance, practices and overall performance within the club.
11. In case of an emergency while traveling to and from horse show or team activities,
please notify the coach, captain or member of the executive board as soon as possible.
12. Please remember the coach is the coach. Respect the decisions of the coach. Also, no
coaching from the rail, unless specifically asked by the coach and/or captain.
13. Remember you are not allowed to touch the tack at shows. This includes, adjusting
stirrups, girth or any other parts of the tack unless specifically given permission by an
official show steward or show manager.
14. Be prepared and courteous at every horse show. Know the show schedule, your course,
and be dressed on time.
15. Please approach an officer of the team with any issues and/or concerns so that it may be
addressed and solved in a timely manner.
