UNIT Nº 01

“The Exchange Program”

1. LEARNING OUTCOMES:

Speaking: Produces complete messages and engages in structured spoken interactions about themselves and
other people and tell about interests and personal information.
Listening: Understands the purpose and Identifies specific information in an oral text (about different present
activities and interests).
Reading: Reads for the main idea and specific information, predicting information from words and pictures,
and connecting the reading to their own ideas and experiences.
Writing: Writes a paragraph about a personal description / personal profile (using present tenses) following
the steps of the writing process (brainstorming, outlining, drafting, peer editing and publishing).

2. PRODUCTS:

 Oral Product: The first entry on students’ own vlog (video blog), greeting, introducing themselves to
the audience, talking about their personality and describing their routines as exchange students.
 Written Product: A paragraph to post on their Facebook page, greeting and reasons for your post,
telling people about themselves, describing their new cities and what they are doing there.
