The Client Profile: How To Achieved Company Aspiration?

[make-dot-believe] is the Sony group brand message and were aim to inspire the people
about the magic of Sony. It symbolize the power of creativity to turn the ideas into reality. The
spirit of make.believe is to aspire the Sony consumer through joy and innovation and to
transformed the people’s lives of everyday . Masaru Ibuka and Akio Morita were the founder of
Sony and they shared the belief which that they would make their dream into reality. The idea of
the dot is to unite the imagination and reality.
In my opinion, Sony group are more emphasis on its products as to satisfy their
consumer as they put the consumer as the key inspiration to create things with full of creativity
and innovate.

The Philosophical Approach:

O Mankind! We created you from a single

(pair) of a male and a female, and made you into
nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not

 Surah Al-Hujurat, verse 13, clearly stated that human were create in many shape, race,
colours, and character. And the purpose of human were created is to bow to Him, as a symbolic
God as The Creator, The Most Merciful and The Most Compassionate as were stated in the
Asma’ Ul-Husna. This will lead to a conclusion where human were created with the same goal
in life. The meaning word of Islam in Arabic is Salam which means prosper, as the purpose of
the introduction of Islam in this world is to brings prosperity to the people. The reason a building
is constructed is always for human, as the human is the key of the building existence, to cater
the need for human, functionally. There were a saying that I came across stated that, “ To know
advancement of the civilization of human kind is to know the building erected during the era”.
Ancient civilization such as the Mesopotamians, Mayans, Sumerians, and Egyptians were
known for its existence are because of the structure builds. The purpose of the buildings is to
cater the need and make a better living of the human, but there were record in the Qur’an, when
a civilization were so good that they forget their own purpose existence will eventually brought
disaster from their own doings, their greed and lust for power and wealth. This is when I bring a
concept of Insan Adabi which brought by Al-Attas whereby the concept is when a knowledge of
one who possesses the infinite wisdom of putting God before everything else to create with the
best possibilities in all his actions.

 Based on the above phrase, it is very clear that man should be aware or acquainted to
encounter any circumstances, condition or situation as the greatest source of wisdom is the
Qur’an which were given by God through Muhammad , The Prophet.

Harun Yahya suggest that human were merely imitate the creation that has been
created for us by God. His creation will always be faultless , and we created things only to
comply or satisfy our needs of living which is belong to Him. The building is an approach to
brings the best condition of living, but the issues which always arise is how we want to justify if
our design/building is the best according to our need or desire?. Then there will be raising some
questions about what things mean and how things mean. This is where the concept of
Utilitarianism comes,

“That action is best which procures the greatest

happiness for the greatest numbers”

The best action is an action which give win-win situation in order to achieve balanced
and to prevent clash of interest of any party or group. For those who understand the basis of
Islamic teaching, is to bring God in every action or doing, they will put their effort and thought
with compassion and merciful which is best not only for individuals

From the Islamic perspective, it is very important to utilize all the knowledge in all types
of development. I try to balanced all the elements, party or group interest in my project, such as
the client itself, developer and the building user. I also try to give some input to the environment

as not to forget the concept in Insan Adabi. The main purpose of my project is would be to make
the building as a connecting place for people as to enhanced the communication which would
make a better life and the target group is mainly the users such as the Sony’s customers,
workers and also the residential group whereby the commercial input would be added to cater
the needs to these groups.
My building would also benefit the community of the area whereby it will utilize the
building as a public place as I already divided the planning to public, semi-public and private
spaces. Not only the employers and employees of Sony would considered, but the public
interest is also take account in the project. The public oriented design terms can be put here as I
already arranged where people will meet based on respective areas, and vista.
To make my building economically constructed, I use IBS and modular coordination as
to give a profitable gain to the developer in terms of fast construction period and material used
were mainly steel for easy fabricate.
In terms of sustainability, I use an approached where the solar panel were used to
collect energy from solar and transformed it into electricity. Refer back to my intention of having
a place to define as a open space or plaza, I also incorporated green elements as to make the
plaza more liveable and healthier place. This is because I would like to increased the degree of
natural elements in the building for the human comfort. Besides that, I also try to comprehend
with the sun path in order to minimize building consumption energy and also to reduce heat
gain.
Referring back to the human comfort issue, to cater the human comfort, I used
integrated building services system as the key component to comply with. Comfort of level can
be increased when a systematic building system were used. Plus, it will reduce the operational
and maintenance cost for the building and this will make the building more profitable to the
owner and tenants.
