AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM

I.OVERHAULING

1. Secure air-conditioning unit maker's overhauling guide manual.

2. Check the manual and the name plate for unit capacity and type of Refrigerant Gas and

Refrigerant Oil used.

3. Start Compressor to pump down the remaining freon gas to condenser.

4. Disconnect power source, piping and unamount the compressor unit from base.

5. Dismantle compressor unit, check damage part and replace with new one.

6. Assemble the compressor unit and flush freon to clean off contaminated oil.

7. Mount to base the compressor unit, connect power source and piping.

8. Vacuum compressor unit and fill refrigerant oil.

II. REPROCESS

1. Flush the system with nitrogen gas to clean off contaminated oil on the pipe line and system.
2. Replace filter/drier with new one.
3. Perform leak test on the system using leak test spray with nitrogen gas pressure at 150 PSI
(10.54 kg/cm²).
4. Vacuum system, holding vacuum pressure up to 3 hours.
5. Start compressor and charging refrigerant gas at 80 % of full charging pressure or 80 % of
compressor motor rated current.
