Second Grade Student Teaching • Emerson Elementary Fall 2017- Present
 Integrated my teachings with Jennifer Cologna and later became the full-time teacher.
 Developed and strengthened positive reinforcement systems in the classroom.
 Collaborated with multiple grade level teachers to inform further instruction.
 Individualized instruction and provided extra support for struggling students.
 Debugged and worked through the new math curriculum, Eureka, collaboratively with the second-grade team.

Higher steps Reading tutoring • Guadeloupe Elementary 01/2017 – 04/2017

After school science program • Washington Elementary Spring 2016

 Coordinated a weekly afterschool science program for 3rd, 4th,
and 5th
graders.
 Flipped the classroom structure on its head and brought the outdoors inside.

Fifth grade • West Valley Elementary Fall 2016

 Pulled small groups to work more individualized and to understand how the older students processed the information.

Next Steps reading tutoring • Guadeloupe Elementary 09/2016 – 12/2016

 Tutored a 2nd grade student in reading for over 21 sessions and by the end she had doubled her accuracy and was
progressing in her fluency.

 Coached a boy and girl’s soccer team with my father between the ages of two and five. Held weekly practices that
taught foundational skills and the principles behind the game.

Life guard & swim instructor • Henderson Aquatics 05/2013 – 09/2013

 Certified Lifeguard and then promoted to a swim instructor after a few weeks of training and new certifications. Taught
children ages two to ten- years old to master many different swimming techniques. Parental communication regarding
safety awareness near open water.

 Care of a four- year old boy and a six- year old girl every weekday during the summer. Had to think on my feet and be
prepared for anything.
